I'm actually disappointed they are just letting his contract expire without renewing it. Apparently he did hit the guy so he should have been treated like any other employee and marched off the premises the same day. The BBC really wanted to hold on to their cash cow, so they stalled, hemmed and hawed and came to pathetic compromise, let the contract expire.
Now I'm looking for Top Gear V3.0 the re-re-boot to appear on a cable channel under a different name as he sold his 30% stake in the rights to the show to the BBC a couple of years ago.
