I can understand the reason it won at Cannes. It is in Europe. Don't think this will fly in good ole US of A.

Ummmmm, what? That's so incredibly inappropriate, and does a really crappy job of advertising their product. Looks like controversy as a PR stunt, a la Madonna, circa 1990.
While I don't see the merit of the ad (probably because it's taken out of context), I also don't see a problem with it.
I think you guys need a hobby.
Oh! I get what they're trying to say. One side is cold, and the other side is hot.
That is not the initial impression I get from it though. That's just wrong.
I think it's funny as H E double hockey sticks. Some people need to take a chill pill and remember to relax.
First: it is a cartoon. Second: the "schoolgirl" on the right side is clearly not a girl.
Over the top? Yeah, maybe. Worth a big stink? Eh. Probably not.
Actually, it kind of reminds me of my buddy who was a student teacher for high school seniors. He was 21, the girls were 18 and strictly off limits. Needless to say, he did get hit on and the girls flirted with him. Said it took all the gumption in the world not to do anything.

I agree. The fact that you get that as a first impression is very wrong.
Yeah, not that im outraged by it or anything, but I dont think its that funny, and I dont think it serves the purpose of advertising their product very well.

I thought it was hilarious, and clearly, as stated, the chick depicted on the right is not supposed to be 12.
Oh, and...

ALLLLLLLLLL RIGHT!
...unless it is a boy student and woman teacher. The man teacher goes to jail, the woman teacher gets a mini series.

Maybe even pedophilia if you consider the lifespan of a rabbit!
I thought it was good, and I also thought it was deserving of the Silver Lion that it won. Kia is kicking ass and taking names right now. I hope they continue to do better, because their Georgia plant is thriving.
Attraction to a prepubescent person is pedophilia. Attraction to an adolescent is Ephebophilia.
Some may say it's splitting hairs, some say it's strictly societal. I say either way, the distinction needs to be made. I feel it needs to be made because kids that are 17-20 still identify with each other. Sometimes younger, sometimes older. I have an acquaintance that had to register as a sexual offender because he was slightly too old to be dating his girlfriend as soon as he turned 23 (in Florida, there's a 5 year rule). All of this is done under the guise of protecting the children. When the youngest party is 17, almost 18, I don't see much protecting needing to be done.
Dual zone interpretation: yea kinda
Relevance to an auto ad: nuh uh
Attention garnered from such an ad: A+... well, that's what it spoda do ain't it
Doug Hutchison would have no problem with it.
