So...buy it and install it yourself. You're a hot rodder, aren't you?

Makes me wonder what they charge for that.

I'd wager that once the sensors don't see the wheel slippage they expect (since it doesn't have a LSD) it will freak out and throw codes.

It's not really a $200. LSD if you need to buy an additional $2000. worth of crap in order to get it.  It's a $2200 LSD.

I scoffed at all the nannies on my wife's 2018 CX-5 when we bought that earlier this year. I figured, if anything, they could be turned off if I was going to drive it.

I've been driving it more since she's been sick. And you know what? I don't mind them. Call me soft or whatever, but I wouldn't mind having some of that stuff on my next car. The adaptive cruise RULES, and some of the safety nannies haven't been as intrusive as I thought they would be. The blind spot checker can be annoying at times, but you can turn the volume on the beeper off or the whole thing off altogether. wink

I’d wager that you’re wrong on that point.  Many, many cars with similar nannies have had limited slip differentials installed and it’s only improved things that a limited slip would improve.

There isn't really any "expected wheel slippage", the traction control systems are reactive, not active.

Is this even a mechanical (gears /clutch) LSD? With the electronic package required for the option, could it be that it's a brake activated torque control?

Last time I was at the dodge dealer looking at chargers I got talking with the sales woman and I found out that I could custom order a car alu way I wanted it. It would take 8 weeks to get delivery and you pay list price up front.  I don’t know what would happen if you declined delivery once it was made and or shipped but I am sure there would be a penalty.

The answer is probably no but can you just go ahead and order the performance stuff with the required sissy stuff and have them put it in a box in the trunk preserving some of the value for resale down the road.  'Moonroof' too? wink laugh
