We should do a meet at Beer Barons place of employment.

FYP.
I will have a rental car, and not much to do, so I'm game for a meet-up.
I'll be staying here:
Staybridge Ste Columbus-Dublin
6095 Emerald Parkway
Dublin, Ohio, 43016

Warehouse is north of C-bus in Delaware area, they have a storefront (where you want to go) down off of (71?) that is a great place to window shop. If you want anything, you can save on the handling fee and shipping! IIRC they also have a scratch and dent / discount aisle, but I havent been there in a few years.
Truechoice is also just over in Powell, but not sure if they have a storefront or give tours... (I just remember my mom saying they were really nice when she got me my Carrol Smith books back when I was in highschool)
For a fun car-guy dining experience, you might also check out Quaker Steak & Lube over on Polaris pkwy, http://thelube.com/locations/ohio/columbus/ pretty good wings, cars hanging from the ceiling, whats not to love?
(I lived by Polaris from 2000-2004)
Oh yeah, my old favorite place is also worthwhile if looking for some good food. http://www.yelp.com/map/la-chatelaine-french-bakery-and-bistro-worthington

Im just writting to say that your hotel is in a good part of town. I have not stayed at your specific hotel but at the same exit, I used to often stay at the Drury Inn. There are ample services surrounding your hotel. You are in a shopping area that includes The Tuttle Crossing Mall.
In those days, the customer that I would see was one exit south at the Cemetery Rd exit. For lunch, I remember them taking me to The Starline Diner which was very good.

Agreed, good. To describe it, imagine Panera Bread transformed with a french theme and very good french flair added to a similar menu of sandwich, soup, salad and breakfast options.
In Houston, TX and elsewhere, there is a very similar chain named Le Madeleine. http://lamadeleine.com/
If you have to hold a more formal diner/lunch with about 6 people total like I often did, one of my go-to choices was J Liu (pronounced Jay Lou) http://www.jliurestaurant.com/locations/dublin.aspx
The menu is varied enough that there is always something to please anyone. Though named after the Asian owner, Asian dishes is only one portion of the entire menu.

I work two exits south of that hotel. Starliner is very good. There is also Louie's Grill owned by one of the original owners of Starliner that is just as good but not usually as busy.

I am now in town. I wound up eating at a place near the hotel called B.J.'s
The service wasn't great, their porter was average.

BJ's is a nation wide chain. Nothing local or particularly special.
Come on down here to Zauber.
I am flying out on December 12th in the morning. I'm planning on a trip to the zoo this Saturday during the day, other than that no real plans.
Beer Baron, what's your real name again? I would feel funny asking at Zauber for "Beer Baron," though I imagine they wouldn't laugh me out of the place. ;-)
Who would be up for a gathering at my new house and shop? I'm finally moving stuff into the shop this weekend, only a year after buying the place. I still haven't done the rewiring and bathroom remodel I intend to do but I'm tired of waiting. The place is in Worthington, right around the corner from where you're staying, Brett. Email me at my user name at gmail dot com.
Baron is Cameron.
I stopped Zauber and got a great tour. Though I may not be smart, I can lift heavy things and because of that, I can say I had a hand in making that batch!

That's funny! We aren't all like that. Michigan fans can indeed be brutal...

MINI COLUMBUS GRM MEET!
Well, by "mini" I mean small, not Austin or Morris Garage or even Rover. Although you'd get extra style points for showing up with one. If someone was giving out points, anyway, which nobody will because thats "too much work" ( exaggerated sigh )
I sent Beer Baron a message, I am wondering if a meet and greet there is possible. I'm not sure when the best time to go would be.
Dculberson has also offered a venue.
Starliner diner was worth it, the rope viejo was delicious.
I'm glad you liked Starliner.
Old Bag of Nail is a local bar and grill. The Hilliard, OH location is close to you. http://www.oldbagofnails.com
The Northstar Cafe is cool too. Healthier food choices.
Beechwold is closest to you but a little bit away. http://www.thenorthstarcafe.com/cafes.html

Name is Cameron. If you come by and tell any of the bartenders or staff that you're looking for the brewer because you're a friend of his through motorsports. They will know you're looking for me. :-)
I'd be down for something this weekend. I'm judging a homebrew competition Friday night.

PM didn't come through. I think there is an old e-mail address attached to my profile. I'm not sure how to update that.
e-mail is: Cameron(at)Lloyd(dot)aero
Saturday night at the brewery or an after work event? Being a college town I am wondering how mobbed it will be.
You'll need to log in to post.
