First thing you need to do is add a smoked turkey to the fried turkey, great combination.
On the medical front, most important is a positive attitude, my dad went through 4 rounds of stage 4 cancer over 8 years. Lots of different treatments, but always confident of the outcome, and always had plans for the future. Do what you need to to fight the illness but don't let that become your life.
It doesn’t hurt to get a second opinion on treatment course, and i’m conveniently located right in the middle of the cleveland clinic system and have friends who work in it. They love treating people with really good insurance, which I assume you have because government job?
Also it goes after people with COPD, which i wouldn’t be surprised if you have or are on your way to having because of your previous affection for lung darts

Can i ask tge dumb question about just what exactly probiotic foods are? Ive got enough gut trouble already....
Ostensibly they have gut bacteria that helps get your normal GI tract flora to come back after a course of antibiotics.
Hoping treatment goes well for you.

too soon?
Way too soon. And the daughter gets it.
You can have some other broken pile from my property instead.
My unsurance (not government employee) itls pretty bad. But i have tbe best hospital in the area on my case. A second opinion may be a good idea. How do you go about doing that?
Call around. State I want a second opinion. Bring your medical records.
Your pathology either came back for that E36 M3 or it didn't. You want a second opinion? You're in denial too. Oh, gosh, that's funny. Hilarious. I kill me.
In reply to Dr. Hess :
Fair enough. Treatment the same regardless? I just want to make sure im properly covering my butt here.
"Nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure."
Or six months of antibiotics. Yeah, about the same. If anything else, you might look around for whoever in infectious diseases calls himself the expert on that E36 M3, if you're not there already. With all the AIDS leading to that, there should be some around.
Seriously how. Like HOW!!
Have you been checked for MS or Cystic fibrosis. Contaminated vape products is the only thing I can think of off the top of my head.
*Not medical advice*
In reply to wearymicrobe :
I had never tried vaping prior to the mass being found. So your guess is as good as mine. As far as i know i have not been checked for ms or cystic fibrosis. But ill ask my doc to see if tgey ruled them out.
At the end of the day, it doesn't matter to me where it came from, just what exactly i need to do about it.
I'll make sure that the doctor at infectious diseases is the expert. And ill take the drugs for the next couple of years. Beats the alternatives.
Good luck Michael. I’m counting on reading your contributions here on GRM for several decades more. I hope you can figure it out like you do every other challenge.

You know I was just kidding, right?
In reply to AngryCorvair :
Yes i did!
And hopefully you saw the response in the same dark humor. Theres an e39 and stepside that will need loving homes. The miata, on the other hand i expect to be passed around the forum like a cheap hooker running with nwa.
Ohc: good lord willing i have a lot more decades to bring the intelligence level down around here.
In terms of a second opinion, I'd look at two things:
1. Could the original labs be wrong?
2. Differences in treatment plans.
I'd find out who are top hospitals for treating what you have and then go to either the head of the department (if possible) or check out who's doing current research into treatment options.
Let me know if you can't find anyone, I have a family member who's a doctor and has run an HIV/AIDS clinic for the past 20 years, so he'd likely know some of the top docs in that specialty.
Here's a guy in Calgary, CA who authored a study on patients with this condition who aren't HIV positive. I'd give his office a call on Monday and see if he has any recommendations for a good doc in your area: Dr. Stephen Field | Airway Inflammation Research Group | University of Calgary

You'll excuse me, please. But the very notion of contaminating a product that is intended to deliver a toxic substance strikes me as ironic and darkly humorous, and it induced in me a maniacal cackle.
In reply to dj06482 :
I called his office and left a message.
Wonder how much international calls cost me to Canada?
Use Skype and calls to Canada are much cheaper.
Dr fields office called me back and they are working to find a specialist here in the United States to refer me to for consultation. Which is absolutely awesome.
