Any LEGO fans out there? I recently dug mine out of the attic and have been compulsively adding to the collection. I forgot how much fun these are! I am such a dork.

There used to be a local bar here that kept a bucket of Legos on each table for the patrons to play with. It was great.

I recently got back into it a few years ago. Some of the new technic models are spectacular. The new motorized excavator is very well done and on its way to becoming a classic. They are going to release a Unimog this year. There are some details of it here:

One of the best toy systems ever devised. Any form of entertainment that also makes you use actual cognitive skills is pure win. Kinda nostalgic as well I have to admit.

My kids love the stuff. I never had them as a kid, so I've recently "discovered" them. Pretty nice. Sometimes we'll make stuff together. The number of different pieces is amazing, and the little LEGO figures are neato.

My wife used to play with the kids for hours, and build some cool stuff. I don't have the coordination for it, and just get frustrated after a few minutes.

Uh oh, Lego CAD - now we're getting really geeky!

LDD is OK but can be buggy sometimes and I don't think it's parts library can compare to LDraw - open source FTW!

If you like robots and mecha look no further. They use LEGO in ways the designers never intended.

My wife bought me a LEGO model of FL Wright's Fallingwater for our anniversary. It came out pretty darn cool. We've got tubs of the stuff around from when we were in college and then later when we had kids.

In college a bunch of us in the architecture program made Tonka-sized freewheeling cars that we would joust against each other from 10-15 feet apart. I always won and kept the car for years and years after that, but I think I took it apart during a big household cleanup operation last year.

Gotta admit- that's an impressive canoe. To take your message, and then edit it WITH a new canoe in it.

paddle to ya. Major canoe though.

Me and my neighbor used to do that ALL the time when we were kids!
