Oh, well- it happens. I got cut loose from the Chrysler Jeep place so I am looking for employment. Dammit. Anybody got any leads? Preferred fields: service advisor (not service manager, sorry) insurance inspector/estimator, gigolo. Or open to suggestions.
I wouldn't mind doing online tech info (if such a position exists).

I got nothing in Chucktown. Could use a former VW Pro in LTucky if you decide you like the cold air and low cost of living (If you can call this living)
Located in Charleston, SC. I'd consider moving in the Southeast as long as it's inland, if I am gonna move it will be out of the hurricane zone.
JFX001, thanks! I hadn't tried Craigslist.
how did I miss this..
Sorry to hear that man. You let me know if there is anything I can do for you. My former employer down in the Chuck just let another 33 or so go this past week. I don't envy your position.
I'd check www.indeed.com it was the best job search site I've found.

I'm looking for a house boy...
Dood, I am really sorry to hear this. If your searching takes you as far north as Raleigh let me know and I will do some scouting for ya! We uh, could use a few more giggolos around here.

Not looking for a gigolo?
In that case, ECM wins.

I;ve been checking it daily, it does have some pretty good stuff there. In fact, about six weeks ago there was a listing for a job that I've been wanting right in the area I've thought about moving to and I didn't apply because I'f have to sell the house here. In retrospect... Oh, well. Hindsight's always 20/20.
not car related... but anyone in need of work, with a decent computer and broadband internet at home take a look here http://www.cloud10corp.com/
add a usb headset and you've basically got call center work from your home... just make sure you have a quiet room to work in
wife has been working for them for over a year now... 1st time around was customer service for T-mobile pre-paid... that sucked... this time around she's customer service for Quest... some internet company we don't have down here in FL lol... pay varies... and no benefits... but they are currently hiring and you can literally roll out of bed and goto work...
know it's a tough time out there right now so if you're looking for SOMETHING take a look...

Can't afford a gigolo, I got down-sized from my 20-year gig at the local paper last week.
Thank goodness for freelancing... and a year's severance.
Oh, man. Sorry to hear that. Hey, a years' severance isn't such a bad thing, though.

Sign of the times eh? I'm staying positive, it's the nudge I needed to really put some effort into writing and drawing.
Good luck in your search - I'm sure something good will happen for you.
That sucks. Driving by my local shuttered Dodge dealer is really depressing.
Dang. Sorry Mike. Have a drink on me at LeMons?
Just one? BTW, we won't be at the September race unless it's to spectate. We are shooting for April.
Well, I'm back at the salt mines. I'm now working for an indie Mercedes repair shop run by a really nice local guy, we will see how this develops. There is something else interesting that's cooking in the background as well.
Good job bouncing there, JM.
At my work, there are 30 people in north America. 13 were told they got the whack today. The Indians are hiring 12 new. They'll work for less than minimum wage here.
Tell me, Jensenman: have you ever been in a Turkish prison?
And good job finding work so quickly. Perhaps it's a sign that things are getting better nowadays.
Congrats. That is great news.
