Considering the vast majority of you whiners are waay to young to know anything about menopause, you can take your pms complaints and jump off a bridge- you ain't seen NOTHIN yet!

But, I wouldn't trade it for anything!

Does anyone really know the terms when they sign up for marriage?

Be scared Lesley. Be very afraid. I see so many people so deeply in love who then spend years trying to destroy each other.

I'm a fan of very long engagements.

We finally got married after being engaged for 15 years.

All the crazy is right out in the open by then.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones because my wife of 5 years is simply amazing. There was some tense moments for the first while because we were still getting to know each other and adjust to living together and all that stuff but it just keeps getting better and better. Things we have learned: 1.Pick your battles-who is this more important to? If it's more important to her, let her have it, and she should do the same for you. 2.Don't harbor resentment from previous arguements-each disagreement stands on it's own, don't fight for something just because you didn't get your way previously. 3.REALIZE THAT YOU ARE ON THE SAME TEAM!-Let's face it, it's you versus the world, nobody is going to hand anything to you on a silver platter, and you are in a much better position to get ahead with your spouse on your side. If they fight you on everything, you need to convince them that it's a mutually beneficial deal. 4.Show them often that you appreciate them-The ladies need to see it and hear it a lot with hugs, kisses and random gifts(not just birthdays and Valentines), men don't need to hear it as often but wives can show it by showing confidence in their man (let him make some decisions now and again) and having a good sex life.

Never really thought I would get in the marriage club after a failed engagement atempt in College, but fast forward 15years and I am seriously considering another go at enagagement. I/We agree to the idea of a long engagement especially if neither party feels the NEED to be married and can accept just being enaged. We are looking at 5-6 years of enagement before the leap due to better college loans for a single woman than a combined income couple. I also might mention she is good bit younger than me and a long engagement will allow her the luxury of really seeing if we want to stay together FOREVER. I see it as win/win.

Menopause is a fact of life like taxes, just depends on how you deal with it I guess. Lesley, d'ja notice how men are the experts on that?

My parents married at 18, had one chile a year for 8 years. Theyre 80 now, still together, kids are moderately sane.

Leslie- You are expecting advice on menopause from a bunch of guys, mostly way too young to have any knowledge. Don't worry about it, it's part of being a woman, and really no big deal. Yes, I am truly a man, but have intimate knowledge.

Nah, the wife and I dated for a little over a month. 5 weeks to be exact. We've been married for 25 years now.

Seriously, you can outbuild and out drive most of us clowns and you are listening to our advice?

Chicks rule, I can't top Aussiemeg, but I have 6 cars, 8 bikes, and a job that hauls me away for 6 months every few years and she deals with all of it.

Be Afraid, Lesley. Be Very Afraid. Remember the Vitamin Z, as I linked to above. I am not joking here. I've been married 25 years. I've been through it. I would not wish that on anyone, (well, almost anyone, there's a few...) and some have a worse time of it than others. And the women, too. OK, I'm joking there. But not by much. They don't call it The Change of Life because the periods stop.
