Technically, ALL carbs suck.
Actually, I'm surprised, we've had a few carburetor related threads lately and there hasn't been any of the usual "Hurr-durr, controlled fuel leak hurr-durr" posts.
It's nice to see people might be realizing it's just another way to achieve the same goal.

Oh, I like carbs. If they have good atomization and good metering, they kick ass. The hard part is getting there. (And IMO you can't get there with a Hiolley)
I have EFI on the RX-7 I use to murder the Mod Rear class in rallycross because I need something that will work correctly no matter how much it is getting pounded and shook. Compromise made in the quest for performance.
I have a carb on the RX-7 I use as a fun car to drive. It's kinda neat to see the intake manifold ice over on the outside on a humid day, from the evaporation cooling. And it just "works", no holes in the fuel map or oddities with air temp vs. injector deadtime or whathaveyou that need the efforts of a team of engineers and an evironmentally controlled test cell in order to properly solve.

Is nobody else annoyed that the wrench says 14mm on it already?

Yup, EFI will run in conditions a carb won't but carbs are great for 99% of the use they will see.
The only carb I found that seemed reliable at autocross was a Q-jet. The small, central float bowl doesn't seem to slosh and starve as easily.

That is the point.... 1/2" bolt plus dime equals 14mm across the flats.
I'm annoyed that the bolt is 12mm head, not 1/2". (That looks like a Japanese bolt, with its raised edge around the flats. American cars all had either 12-point bolts if they are old enough, or 11mm flat faced bolts if they are not, probably for some weird standardization and safety reason)

Derp. I was reading it as a 1/2 wrench plus a dime made a 14mm wrench, and since I find tools to fit the fastener, I never though of it the other way.

Uh.... that's a chokeless carb...

the real reason I want you to take that down, is so we don't get put onto "no access" lists... that way you can still surf the site at work or school
