This statement is a lie. Arguing on the internet is nowhere near as entertaining as this movie.
I very much believe that in this period of the de-evolution of the human species, the skill of making an argument has been lost-- replaced by shouting down those who express an opposing viewpoint.
In reply to 1988RedT2 :
To be realistic, "shouting down those who express an opposing viewpoint" (and sometime beating them down), has always been a style of argument in person. It's just WAY easier on the internet!
I used to have a housemate who was a great yeller, and, for fun would sometimes make a somewhat ridiculous point, but yell it, and be very aggressive about it (he was a small guy), and, I have to admit, it was effective.
In reply to aircooled :
Yes, but I wouldn't call that an argument. I subscribe to this definition: "a coherent series of reasons, statements, or facts intended to support or establish a point of view".

Here's one of my own:
Hear me out: Bro dozers are the drag queens of the truck world.
- Pretending to be something they are not, in order to project a new persona for the wearer
- Fancy outfit with lots of glitter in order to attract maximum attention
- Outrageous footwear
Change my mind.

Brodozers are Donks for white guys with flat-billed hats.
Other than the whole coal thing I don't hate them. They just aren't my style.

I'm curious what Walmart pay, currently $14-$19/ hr to start, has to do with people abusing the system? If you are working full-time at Walmart, you don't need an EBT card unless you have six baby-daddy. You are probably eating a lot of beans and rice, but you aren't starving. If your spouse also works there, you are bringing in about $60k a year and then you can afford steak at Walmart.
I worked for them. They actively tell you how to apply for all forms of government assistance. I'm dead serious.
In reply to Toyman! :
I don't hate drag queens, either, but I bet your average brodozer driver does.
In reply to Appleseed :
Last post on this. I'm pretty sure I've reached my limit of 5.
Why wouldn't they?
One of my employees has 5 kids and a wife. One of my employees has zero kids and is single. Should the guy with 5 kids be paid more because he needs more money? Should the guy with no kids be punished for not having any? When they started, they started at the exact same wage.
What I did was get my employee with 5 kids in touch with the appropriate people to help him wade through the requirements for assistance. At the same time, he applied himself to the job and increased his pay 64% in 7 years.
Walmart does the exact same thing for its people.

Know how many people work full time at Wal Mart? roughly half
Also, know how little $14-19/hr gets you in today's world? Living wage is $45k-55k in most of the country. $19/hr is 39k at full time (which every other Wal Mart worker isn't getting)
In reply to Mr_Asa :
They are one of the companies that deliberately schedules people a half hour less than the requirement to legally be full time. For extra shiny happy factor they like to flex your schedule so much that you can't take a second job.
I blame WWII and the notion that health benefits should be tied to a full time job, but that is getting floundery, so here's a meme
