Pretty jacked up that you can get flagged with a firearm for simply pissing someone off by the apparent refusal to give your name. I have this crazy notion that the threat of lethal force should only be a response to being threatened with lethal force in the first place.

An impressive number of cops are comfortable pulling out their guns in fairly minor situations. It’s happened to me twice, one of those times was my own driveway because I was outside at an hour no decent people are up. His excuse was that he has a family to go home to and didn't know how I would react. That I also have a family that would rather I not be perforated in my own yard trying to leave for work was of no importance because blue lives matter.

I've had some similar interactions with LEOs. Apparently driving a 20 year old pickup with a toilet in the bed is frowned upon in certain affluent neighborhoods. Fun fact, they really don't appreciate being called Barney Fife. Which I find funny as Barney Fife would have been an exemplary officer of the law compared to these yahoos.
Thankfully, any time that I have been doing something that may or may not have been illegal and I've had interactions with the law, they've always been surprisingly decent human beings.

Quoted for truth. I do not want to get caught in the ditch on the other side that says everyone in that position is power-tripping.
For reasons, I've had dozens of official interactions with LEO, including a bunch where I was in a precarious position, but only a handful gave me pause about the profession and the judicial preference for their testimony.
