Hmmmm. Political? Or not?
Technically yes. It shows a politician and refers to a politician, even though the meme itself is not really political in nature. So it does break the "No Politics" rules, as was established with the photos of Bernie Sanders. I'm not going to report it, because I don't get that bothered, but it probably should be removed if the board is truly having a "zero tolerance" approach.

I can't even see it as political. It's dark humor about Lincoln and theaters. At what point can people just enjoy a terrible joke?
In reply to NickD :
Change the pic to a 63 Lincoln Continental or 2020 MKZ or 1999 Town Car etc, then it would be a car meme and not political, right? :)
Well, I guess I won't be posting the washington in front of a hellcat at his inauguration meme either. Can't you people just have fun?

Don't be mistaken, I'm on your side and I think it was funny, and I didn't mind the Bernie memes. I was more cautioning you that you might be asked to remove it, if that was the direction the board was leaning.

Right? This is getting silly. It isn't like it has some political meaning. I mean if we are going to be like imo plenty of those Gamestop memes are more political.
We as a community need to enjoy things a bit more and spend less time looking for things to complain about. It's not good for the soul (even though being a ginger I have none).

This. Quoting my old post because it is applicable again.

Politics according to GRM: Any name, photo, quote, sound, smell, taste, or feeling associated with someone who has ever held, or run for a political office, held a political opinion, voted, or read the news.
Joseph Ducreux was made a baron in return for painting Marie Antoinette. I believe that at this time ~1770, the Chamber of Peers/peerage/whatever had a somewhat constitutional function. Therefore, this is political.
P.S. I am outraged at all previous posts of Ducreux!
