Meme related content: an acquaintance of mine posted a weirdly political meme that made no sense on FB. It's a "Berkeley Christopher Columbus" meme but his point is a screenshot of a comment that he found amusing which stated that "they were refugees and seeking diversity blah blah blah"
So I called him out on it since it intrinsically makes no sense. After a couple of back and forths I realized why he thought it made sense. Apparently he thinks Columbus was a berkeleying Pilgrim!!!
I've long known he has a simplistic world view and is painfully wrongheaded about many things, but this dude is a college graduate! That university should have to refund his tuition, they failed.
*****while some of the points I brought up in this rant might be seen as political, please understand I am not intending this thread to detail in that direction at all. Simply stating that I have a hard time dealing with people so painfully ignorant that they honestly believe Columbus was a Pilgrim.
