I rented a car in Galveston yesterday but they ran out so I did not get my usual full size. "Jeep or Prius?" easy answer, and today I pulled over for a phone call and someone banged on my window. I paused my call and rolled the window down and a woman handed me a rubber duck and said it was a jeep thing. Weird. Its a wrangler. It is noisy, uncomfortable and not very ergonomic. And in true jeep fashion the visor fell off today. Still beats a Prius. Maybe.

Jeeps (Wranglers, in any case) are very very good at doing Jeep things. They stink at normal car things.

Correct, we rented a Jeep for an all day rock climbing adventure and it was hugely impressive off road, not so much on the drive home. This is us doing Jeep things

Yup. I feel a bit nervous if I find myself driving a YJ over about 30mph. Positively sketchy at 55-60mph. But if I wanted to crawl over a tight trail with lots of obstacles, all of the qualities that make them suck at smooth flat straight roads suddenly become huge assets.
But WTF is up with the windshield that is hinged like a proper Jeep windshield should be, but bolted in place at the top?

One rental it was worth buying the optional insurance.
Totally paid the upcharge for insurance when one of the only options was a wrangler on the rental lot once. Proceeded to obnoxiously yelled "jeep stuff, yeah!" everytime we left the pavement or climbed snow mounds to do jeep stuff on vacation way back.
Today would be tempted to take the Prius.

It was rented from Las Vegas Rock Crawlers and off road insurance was included

Lawyers.
CIA just released a photo of the so-called 'Ghost of Moscow' who took down the Russian economy in one week

I was in school when that whole mess went down. My surname is Harding. I got tired of people asking if I was related real damn quick.
