Kobalt. It's a 20" deck, 48V self-propelled mower. Runs on two 24v 5.0aH batteries. All the household tools were Kobalt already, so it was basically a no-brainer to stay with the same battery system. We've had it for about two months and it's done a fantastic job thus far (I mow weekly).
I've got the Kobalt 40V mower and the weedeater and leaf blower. They are not bad, but I think if I had to do it again, I'd either go for the 80V tools, or with one of the setups where you use 2 smaller batteries (like what Recon1342 is talking about), and just go with whatever power tool ecosystem I have, so I have one less type of battery to deal with.
I have a cordless leaf blower and hedge trimmer that we got free through DW's former employer's "rewards" program. Basically it's like Overstock.com and in lieu of small cash bonuses, they got 'reward points' that were used to buy stuff from their website.
Unfortunately, they only had WORX brand, so that's what I got. If I make the cordless mower transition, I'll have to decide whether to stick with that, or start yet another battery ecosystem.
I sense some confusion, but I'll let it roll.
This is more what I meant. Still gas powered, but, remote controlled.

Is that the article where they ask Duntov about losing the removable rear window? I remember thinking the same as you. He talked about the mid engine Corvette (Cerv?) like it was a year or two away.

I did a weigh in at my neurologist on... yesterday. According to them I had dropped some more weight in my ongoing quest to be less fat, though not as much as I'd like.
What stuck in my craw was, I had all my E36 M3 on me. That meant my shoes, my wallet, my phone, my hat, my sunglasses and my seeing glasses.
I've never weighed in like that at my gp, and I was convinced I had more to give. So I did what any logical human would do.
I grabbed my edc stuff, covered my food scale for portion control in cling film (cause putting my shoes on my food scale is gross) and weighed it all.
Turns out I carry 2.5 lbs worth of accessories around with me that aren't guns or knives.

Largely due to the absence of a certain person thanks to their self-imposed exile.
Counting the man-hours going into our shed is quite a reminder for what it takes to get a project done. I can't say I completely forgot, but kinda.
Yesterday I did a minor maintenance task that entailed a little bit of creeper time on the driveway and moderate wrenching on things just out of reach. That's all it took to put me in whole-body pain for the rest of the day.

Yeah. It has a clattering noise in the transmission with it only in gear and accelerating and decelerating. I hoped that a transmission fluid change would take care of it, but I guess from what I'm reading, output shaft bearings are a known failure point. Monkey Wrench Racing sells fully blueprinted transmissions with all new seals, synchros and bearings for $1499, and they'll change it from an 0.815:1 Fifth gear to a 0.725:1 Fifth gear for just $169 more.

I am tempted to just say berk it and wedge my tires, tent, jack, tools, and tent into the car and go without the trailer.
The trailer that is still covered with Duratec and Mini parts.

Not putting it in the minor rant thread, because it's not a rant. Confession doesn't seem right, since I've held this opinion for over 40 years, but...
What the hell do people get out of driving a convertible? I had to take one on a test drive with the owner, so I couldn't put the roof up. The sun was glaring in my eyes, the wind was buffeting me, it was hot, and the cowl shake was pretty bad. I know I'm in the minority, but sweet gentle flying spaghetti monster, what a stupid thing to do to a car.
Convertibles are wonderful things when they fit the drive profile: mild weather, moderate speed, good scenery, light traffic. Otherwise they are indeed compromised.
I've never not owned a convertible.
