SWMBO's cat is cool. Has a decent attitude and doesn't walk all over things it shouldn't, like tables and countertops.
We had new, stain resistant carpet installed. This berkeleying thing has puked, pissed and E36 M3 in every carpeted room.
SWMBO needs to get to work on these stains or I'm banning the cat from the carpet.
Very minor rant: I got this Yeti knockoff stainless steel tumbler thing as a freebie from a supplier at work like a month ago. I cannot figure out how to drink out of this stupid thing without dribbling onto my shirt.

I'm not sure what eating ass tastes like, but if it really does taste like a McRib, I should have convinced myself to go to brown town decades ago.

The patching that I already did was with an elastomeric patching compound and reinforcing fiber tape... it's highly unlikely that the water is getting through that- the problem is figuring out just where/how the water is getting under the shingles (and the patch) from and stopping that from happening. I could potentially stop the water from coming in the hole in the wood in the roof using Flex tape/silicone/etc. but it would likely just find another way in- I need to figure out exactly what is happening and resolve the problem with the roof itself so I'm not just putting a band-aid on it. Or at least come up with a band-aid that will hold up through the winter until we're in a better position to have a metal roof put over the existing one...
And it looks like I will have to figure it out over the next few days, since it's looking like rain from Friday on...

Mark it down, today is the day that I've become fed up with my job. 1 year, 6 months, 4 days. Job search starts today, hopefully getting 3 submissions out internally before I leave tonight.
As an aside, anyone know how to search for telecommuting jobs? Seems like there are a lot more of those. I'll have "telecommute", "remote", "WFH", and "Work from home" in my searches, but wanted to know if there was something else.

The McRib doesn't even taste good.
Tastes like ass.
That's weird. I always thought "tastes like ass" meant that something had a bad taste. Here I've been using that phrase wrong all these years...

Could ask the guy in the brodozer I saw at Autozone on Saturday with the giant "I eat ass" decal on his rear window.

That is a bit of information I can happily live the rest of my years not knowing, please and thank you.

I'd imagine ass tastes similar to horse, but I haven't eaten any of the equine family as far as I know.
Wait, that is what we were talking about, right?
I haven't had horse.
Japan has horse sushi, but I couldn't do it.
I did have swordfish and that tasted like chicken.
In reply to Knurled. :
But bacon tastes good.
And porkchops taste good.
In reply to Appleseed :
Listen, ass could taste like pumpkin pie but I ain't gong to eat the motherberkeleyer.
A lot of people here seem to think that because they're the biggest shiny happy person at home that they're the biggest shiny happy person. Sorry, there are lines and you will wait like everyone else.

Get some roll on Thru The Roof stuff and cover everything in the vicinity

So apparently this is a thing, then? Great. Of all the things you could choose to proclaim to the world, I struggle to see how one arrives at this.

You're driving a brodozer. Where else is there to go but up?
When I was a kid, abstinence and safe sex were a thing. Now, it's choking and eating ass.
Ok.

You may already know this, but the leak may not be where you're seeing it enter the house. I had a leak that seemed to be above the kitchen, but the water was actually getting under some flashing halfway across the house and running down the boards in the attic to the kitchen, 20 feet away.

Ok.
With Tide Pods for dessert.
In reply to Brett_Murphy :
Yeah- unfortunately I know where the water is coming in, it's dripping straight down from the hole in the wood- the problem is how the water is getting under the shingles on the outside of the wood to get through the hole.
I'm thinking I'll try a two-pronged approach this time- use the through-the-roof stuff Antihero recommended on the outside and try and stop it there and on the inside fill the hold with caulk and then caulk the crap out of one side of a thin (but stiff) piece of wood and screw it over the hole and surrounding wood on the inside to seal it up there.

I remember this story. It's a stock GMC Sierra 1500 and I think the vinyl was either discounted or free.
