I cannot really explain why, but I really hate the current fad of advertising whole body deodorant.  With songs.

Hate them.

At least we don't have to get up close and personal with that LUMI woman and her fake "made from home vlog" commercials any more.

We gave up on commercial TV and radio many years ago, mostly when I realized I was paying DirecTV a pretty handsome sum for the privilege of being yelled at every time I turned the TV on. If I want to be shouted at, I can arrange that for free, and at least it'll be a live show.

I may live under a rock, but at least it's quiet here.

The tiktok-ification of commercials in general can stop anytime.

In reply to DarkMonohue :

We don't have cable TV, just a Roku and a couple subscriptions.  But sometimes what we want to watch is only on Tubi or Freevee or something, and then you get commercials.

I keep being put in rooms where we need an adult to make decisions. Turns out that I am the adult in the room and everybody keeps looking at me. No I need an adultier adult.

I am just a teenager shoved into the body of a 44 year old who everyone else has decided has good decision making skills and who will not take any bullE36 M3 and tells people why their buzzword laden plans will not work. Just because you heard large language model on youtube does not mean that we need one and no they cannot replace actual functioning humans in a accounting and ordering role yet. no we cannot develop it ourselves completely internally. We can licence the hell out of it though.

Adult entertainment was larger in global sales then AI a year not so long ago.

Please they don't even need your data in other industries to make educated guesses. They just need the data of a relative close enough and they can make educated guesses. You have a lot of stupid relatives and its not hard to map it all out.

Here I am trying to stay anonymous on the internet, and somehow this ol' boy knows everything about me.

Great.

Being the adult is exhausting, there should be more than a handful of people doing it.

RockAuto has been slipping with the magnets lately. The last three or four consecutive orders from them haven't had a magnet inside. How am I supposed to decorate my fridge?

Well after going back and forth most of yesterday and this morning I messaged the seller. I went through 100s of ideas in my head of what to message but stayed neutral in the end. Now waiting to see.

Easy enough to Google the name and find where the seller is. 2.5 miles away from where a friend of mine lives. So I could leave work, drive there, buy it. Drive it to my friends house. Walk back, pick up my car (if my friend is still at work) drive home in something. Then arrange later to pick up either car or tow it back.

I could do this today...

I'm pretty sure the only thing public education gives to children is diseases. One of the guys caught something from a child again and promptly brought it to work.

Now we have COVID making the rounds through the shop again as well as pneumonia. Apparently, the latest variant of the vaccine isn't working very well.

Half of my employees are out of work again and won't be back until Monday at the soonest.

Once again the schedule is shot to E36 M3 and next week will be catch up time.

Berkeley.

COVID and Flu vaccines are generally updated only once a year.  Sadly, the diseases themselves update constantly.

I got brake hoses from them yesterday and no magnet.  Checked under flaps....nothing.

I'm about done with this lady selling the wagon. Reads my message, left on read.

Now more hours debating on whether to let it go or send one more message, basically saying do you want this berkeleying money or not? Only a little nicer than that.

take it as a sign that it isn't meant to be and keep looking for another option.

That's kinda where I'm at. Just going to leave it.

There's another wagon that's 10 minutes away from me. That I tried buying in January when he listed it at $1200 with a check engine light. Had the cash out the bank and told him I'd take it. He suddenly decided to fix it himself and now it's back for sale at $3500. I considered sending a offer or even messaging a "what gives?" kinda message but decided against it.

When looking this morning I did spot another possible wagon, so may start pursuing that one.

What bums me out is 90% of the wagons are gray, silver, black, maybe white. And this one was bright red. Meat to stand out a little.

Yeah, and sometimes they knock it out of the park and sometimes it's a foul ball that lands behind home plate.

You just never know. I'm glad I have a very robust immune system.

I would they obviously don't want to sell it to you.

Random idea though:you could have your friend that lives close by contact and see the response.

I've done that more than a few times. I once pursued a bike through 3 different email addresses before MP. It took a big effort to actually get that deal done.

And people think I'm the bad guy for treating these idiots like the pieces of E36 M3 they are.
