-That's exactly what I'm looking for, let me know if you change your mind mind about shipping them.
I could ship them, it would probably be about $150

So thats how a fuel pump fails even though I can hear it working. The other side spring fell off and it just kinda.....bent over. Very weird
Apparently it's impossible to actually download a podcast anymore.
I'm the dinosaur that still uses an iPod for long flights. Went to try and download a few podcasts last night, every single one I checked forces you into their streaming service of choice. Boo

Downloading is... literally what a podcast is. It's a "broadcast" that you download and listen to on your device rather than streaming it,
It's like people don't even know that words have meaning anymore.
EastsideWife is interested in a Ford Maverick, and has specific requirements. Hybrid, XLT w/Luxury Package or Lariat, not gray/silver/black. Found out today the 2025 models incorporate the HVAC into a touch screen, so now it is 2024 only. Also found out the stop sale was lifted at some point in the past, so inventory is way down. There is one that matches her requirements, all the way across town. We don't have time to look around til the weekend, and maybe not even then. I suspect we're just going to have to scratch it off the list of cars she's looking at.
Whenever we travel, we usually take The Dancer's Colorado because it's the newest, most comfortable, and most efficient (but not most fun in most situations). It does however have one very annoying feature: the hood closest to the windshield has a lip that dips down toward the windshield and is angled just right so when the sun is mostly overhead it reflects right into your eyes and there's nothing the sunshades can do about it.

Does that mean the GTI is for sale?
It and the Mustang are probably on the chopping block if she buys something. I'll keep you apprised, since despite it being a daily driver, it's probably not as rusty as what you'd find in the northern half of the state.

We all need to know the details on this GTI.....
2015 MK7 GTI, base model(tartan cloth seats) with DSG, red 4 door, clear coat on the front bumper is shot, ~112K miles. Completely stock.
EDIT: Forgot, not completely stock - it has Oz Rally wheels (I think), with some low mileage Continental tires. Need to dig them out of the garage and reinstall them, now that winter is over.
My Mom spent two months in a physical rehab facility so she could get strong enough to walk again. At the facility she had a good diet, exercise, and was actually taking her meds for once. I juggled managing the facility/insurance paperwork since United Healthcare tried to kick her out on a weekly basis. She was home for less than two hours before rolling her wheelchair to the front porch for a cigarette. I predict all the old habits will be back by this weekend. Why do I even berkeleying bother?

I'm sorry you have to go through this... It sucks, I've experienced it firsthand.
There's a commercial for Ethos life insurance where a husband figure is sipping coffee in the morning and a wife figure comes out of nowhere and immediately says...
"I just had a terrible dream where you were in an accident and the kids and I had the mortgage and the..."
I always talk over her playing the husband's role saying "what, accident, I'm dead, berk, was it over quick, did I suffer, was there a fire..."
Man, she just goes from his tragedy to how she is effected in 0.000001 seconds...where's that "Don't Want Dog" meme when you need it?
I looked, on and off while waiting for parts, two days for the hairpin from the clutch master cylinder pin.

I feel your pain. I stripped a torx bolt this afternoon in a very tight spot. I think the solution will be to try to grind off the rest. Might be able to fit a Dremel in there. I have some time to figure out an attack as it's going to rain the next three days.

I've had a few lost things hitch rides on something magnetic. So now that's my first look. Glad you found it!
In reply to Peabody :
That's something I was thinking as well- easier than taping off an spraying matte black Plastidip...

And now we're on 8 hour shifts instead of 10 hour shifts. Because of parts availability.

I have a magnetic tray on my box, and on my bench. Any little parts like that go straight on otherwise I'll lose them.
One of the main things that I do in my job as a sheet metal shop owner is to take customer chicken scratch and turn it into working drawings. Policy is that unless the drawings come to us good (About 20 percent of the time) we redraw them and have the customer sign off on it before we begin production.
And this week I've had three sizable jobs come back to me because measurements were wrong. Every time it was the customers fault for not checking the dimensions carefully enough, so we didn't get stuck paying for it, but there's no pleasure in fixing screw-ups, regardless of where they originate.
And it just occurred to me (don't know why it's taken so long) that if a customer is incapable of creating legible drawings, they probably don't read drawings that well either. That actually makes me feel a bit better, because it isn't always just laziness on their part. They may have trouble processing information in that matter. Everyone processes information differently. Thus you hear about "visual learners" and such. But it's remarkable how many building contractors can't draw their way out of a paper bag. One semester of mechanical drawing is all that's needed for this level of interaction. Not Solidworks, not FLA, just the ability to understand orthographic projection would go so far with these guys!
