By NJ standards.. I was leaving WAY too much room.. about 4 car lengths on a 45mph road... I am surprised somebody did not try to slip in between us.

When I lived in NJ in 2000-2001, anything more than one car length in between you and the car in front of you was an invitation for someone else to pull into that space. Thankfully, cell phone use and texting weren't what they are today, and people were actually paying attention when they drove.
