Girl goes to airport with emotional support hamster.  Spirit airlines says.. no way is it allowed on a flight.  They suggest she flush it down an airport toilet..  She flushes her hamster.. I don't know why she would do such a thing.. then sues for a replacement hamster.. ..

I'm just glad that Richard Hammond is OK.  I came in expecting him to have binned it yet again.

Emotional supports hamster, please tell me that's a joke. Oh lord. Then to flush it - yeah it was doing you a world of emotional support if you were willing to flush it to get on a flight. Idiot.

First they turned away the service peacock, now the support hamster, I'm afraid they'll turn away my therapy gator when I go away too.

I was going to bring my state mascot.     Wolverines are friendly and cute support animals right?

I mean, to be fair, a hamster seems a lot less obnoxious than some of the other animals they allow. It's tiny and fits in a small case and barely makes any noise. And they did tell her it was okay multiple times over the phone.

Yay I want to be locked in a metal tube sitting next to some one who depends on a therapy hamster to get by.

I want to start an airline called “NOBS”. Basically you sit quietly when on our plains.  Talking is ok but must be kept in hushed tones.  You must be dressed to a minimum standard. No kids.  We reserve the right to kick you off at any time for any reason. Don’t like it don’t fly with us.  Flying with us is not a right it is a privilege.

It took me a second to figure out that the name is like "No BS" and not "nobs" in the British sense

It seems a little harsh to kick somebody off your plane at any time. I'm just as irritated by people as the next guy but that doesn't give you license to chuck them out the door at 40k feet. Though one would hope that would quickly curtail bad behavior.

How messed up do you have to be that the option you pick, when you have to leave your pet behind, is to kill it by drowning in sewage? There are so many better options, like yelling "FREE HAMSTER, WHO WANTS A PET HAMSTER?" or just leaving him in the lounge with a note that says "free hamster, couldn't take on plane." Worst-case scenario he dies by detonation, a more humane option.

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that someone who thinks that an emotional support hamster is a thing doesn't always make the best, most logical choices.

Could one of our resident doctors write me a script for an emotional support komodo dragon?

I think it would do wonders for my mental health to be able to feed my causes of stress to a venomous dinosaur.

I once tried to board a plane with a large screw driver.  After a heated argument, the agent eventually told me to go "f" myself,. Well I thought...

...let's just say I'm going for a big settlement (and I am really wishing it wasn't one of those wide grip handles).

For the record, that's not much of a limb.

It'd be a stronger limb if it had a hamster supporting it.

God peacock lady ruined it for everyone.

Seriously though you can self register them and Google ads has a bunch of "Need a letter today?!" It doesn't exactly lends credibility to the practice on the surface.

My airline my rules. Don't like them don't fly with me.

I was actually thinking that we would include and airlock on each plane.  You know to protect the other passengers.  We would even give them a free parachute but I think the cold and the lack of O2 at altitude may make that a wast of a perfectly good parachute.
