Currently watching it on TCM. Every time I see this movie, I like it more. As far as I'm concerned, it should be required viewing for anyone in a position of leadership--military, business, or otherwise. Henry Fonda is amazing in it.
That's it. Anyone else feel the same way about this movie? GRM is just an eclectic enough board that it might have some fans here. If you haven't seen it, you're missing out.
Good one, anyone feel like making scotch?
Is that the one with the ice cream incident?

Good flick. I have to confess that I enjoy Operation Petticoat better. That movie must've been made with the input of someone who spent some time in the sub force.

nope the one with the palm tree incident
The Bridge on the River Kwai is on right now.
An interesting exploration of military leadership, but I'm still not sure whether the Alec Guinness character is crazy, or just British.
"Captain, it is I Ensign Pulver! I just threw your stinking palm tree overboard, now whats this I hear about no movie tonight?!"
Classic.

Breadfruit tree.
Jeez...
I'm no botanist, but in the film they refer to it as a palm tree.
