It always hurt to think about having to make this thread when reading similar threads from this grm family. Yet as it must eventually, here we are. Sunny was my golden retriever/husky mix. He didn't even come to me till he had just turned five (temp foster? No, he's staying with me now.) We had to say goodbye this past Saturday, and I've been broken since.
Oh, Sunny. He had that special something like some people have, where no matter what, he brightened the mood of whatever space he was in. Many here have met him, especially if you were at one of the wdcr rallyx events he came to, or the $2013 challenge. Please give a little love to whatever furrier members add to your family from us both.
Sorry for your loss. Pets which is family too always have a special place in our hearts.

Sorry to hear about that. I never met him, but he looks like he was a Good Boy for sure!
Losing a dog is the hardest thing in the world. My thoughts are with you. He looks like a good boy.
I'm sorry. Glad you gave Sunny a happy home.

Sunny is over the rainbow bridge where dogs go to celebrate their life with you. Do Sunny a favor and go to the pound and rescue another dog.
Sunny will appreciate your thoughtfulness and your rescue dog will lesson your grieving
I'm so sorry. I'll absolutely go give Ada some extra ear-scritches.
He looks like a happy dog; I bet you were doing something right.
Sorry for your loss, it is never easy.
Sorry for your loss. He looks like he was a great dog.
Dogs are the best. I'm sorry Sunny is gone.
What a beautiful dog, I'm glad Sunny had such a good life.
Sorry man. Losing a furry loved one sucks.
Look at those peepers on that pupper. He looks like the goodest boy out there. I'm sorry. I just lost mine last year and it still cuts deep. I know I now have room for another but I just can't stomach it yet.
Sorry to hear about your loss, losing the furballs sucks hard!

So sorry for your loss. That hurts me, reading about it. Allow yourself to grieve over him, he was a friend and a partner.
The GRM-community hereby gives you free "punch in the face" cards for anyone saying "It was just a dog" or "Why don't you get another dog?" (you should, but when it feels right).
Sorry to hear it, buddy.
We put one down way back in 2011, and some days it still feels fresh.
Our current little fellow is starting to get old - 12 - and he's getting a bit stiff. Makes me sad to look into the future.
These dogs can break your heart with their short life cycles, but they bring about 100x the benefit in return.
Thanks, all. It's been so hard to focus on much else this week. Sharing some favorite pics helped, so here's a few more.
Those are some really special pictures. Thank you for sharing.
Looks like you guys had fun together and you gave him a good life.
So sorry you lost a member of your family
I forgot to mention, there'll definitely be another dog in our life. I had hoped for Sunny to be with us long enough for bluekid to learn who he was. She'll look for him if you ask, which is awesome, but I think is starting to realize he's not around and is a bit sad. It's a lot to ask from a 14mo old to comprehend. Some time, and we'll find a rescue we all connect with. Bluewife wasn't much of a dog person (and will still claim she isn't), but Sunny probably gave her the most, showing her what it means to be loved by your furbaby.
The photos were great. I was okay, until the last two...
I'm so sorry. It's really tough. I know.
They ask so little, and give us so much.
