I've never heard this term used, but I like it. I shall make an effort to fit it into my daily conversation...and the way my life goes some days, it shouldn't be that tough.

Perhaps I'm too much a traditionalist, but "Clusterberkeley" has served admirably, and more colorfully, for decades.

Omnishambles is something Lee Iacoaca was responsible for. It is like a specific type of clusterberkeley for the auto industry.

Thats the very first word I thought of too.
I'm not anti-profanity, and there are times a "berkeley" or "E36 M3" is the only way to really express what one is feeling.
That being said, I like the relatively understated tone and humor of "omnishambles". It's nice to be able to express one's take on the situation in less coarse language when the situation calls for it...
I'm hoping to work the word defenetration into a conversation in the next few days. It's not new, but I love it because it's just so specific! Who would have thought we needed this term?

Defenestration? Throwing something or someone out the window?
My girlfriend uses it all the time. I love that word.

I would guess John McClane has also experienced that many times in his career.
I saw that recently, and I think it's a fabulous word for board meetings and such where ClusterBerk would be frowned upon.

Why do we not have an equivalent word for falling off a cliff, or throwing someone off the roof? But we have one for out a window. Such precision.
If you jump IN a window, is that fenestration?
They thought answering with haiku was bad, wait till I start working in the word of the day. I really hope the occasion to use defenestration arises in the near future.
one from a few weeks ago: Morning service poor Few good buses for pullout Customers waiting :(

If you were driving a bus in Cleveland, you likely could have defenestrated someone by now.
