I am shocked that the Eagles are as good as they are and the Giants are as bad as they are. Although, the Giants got their asses kicked in the Georgia Dome(last year?) like 40(+) - 0.

I hadn't said anything yet because I wanted to see if we were for real, but holy E36 M3 the Chiefs D is good.

I am berkeleying excited and looking forward to Sunday afternoons for the first time since Trent Green was under center....so, like seven years. Yes, the Broncos will win the division. Yes, we probably will come back to earth from where we are right now. But for now, this E36 M3 is awesome.

All I know is that at this point in the season, the Browns are ahead of Pittsburgh in the standings. This makes me happy!!!

But as a lifelong Browns fan, I realize that this small victory will be short-lived, simply because it's the Browns.

As much as I hate the Steelers, I can only hope that Cleveland can take some cues from them on how to run a football team.

Chins-up, Pittsburgh fans, you guys will be back before Cleveland figures things out!!!

E36 M3 man, I have the utmost respect for Browns fans. The Richardson trade is a bummer. "Maybe next year" 3 games in??? Y'all been down too long :(

And don't worry, you won't see my ass changin' stripes any time soon. I fly the flag more when we lose than when we win! I lived through Kordell! We'll get through this!

I just hope that Haslam stays outta jail, and can apply some of the knowledge he should have learned from the Rooney's on how to run an NFL team.

I really just want the Browns/Steelers to become an actual legitimate rivalry again.

I miss that...

A fresh start for Andy Reid paired with an above average QB and a couple of decent runningbacks? I saw this coming. And I like it.

Well I blew at picking things this week, and the season pretty much overall. I was dead wrong on the Cheeseheads, the Eagles, the 9ers, and the Pats.

So my sorry-ass Super Bowl prediction #4:

Broncos over the SeaChickens (again)

I'm with you on this. I don't think anyone's got the D to stop Peyton, but the Seahawks come close.

My picks for the playoffs:

AFC East: Pats (survive a late challenge from the Dolphins)

AFC South: Indy. Tennessee puts up a fight, but losing Locker is gonna hurt.

AFC West: Broncos. As much as I hate to say it

AFC North: Browns

AFC wildcards: KC and either Tennessee or Miami.

NFC West: Seahawks

NFC North: Bears...maybe. This one's too close to call, but I was expecting that the whole division would be chasing Green Bay all year. Not how things wound up working out so far. Even the Vikings have looked decent at times, with Noodlearm Cassel having a pretty good day yesterday.

NFC East: Um. I guess someone has to win, so...Cowboys.

NFC South: Saints.

NFC wildcards: Lions and either Green Bay or San Francisco, one of whom will get their E36 M3 together by midseason.

Yup, sounds about right. I'd say Washington over Dallas, but it doesn't matter who that division sends, they're going to get stomped first-round. I think Lions win the division and Da Bears and Fudge Packers fight it out for the last wild card (SF's getting in).

So, my dumb Super Bowl prediction #5, sticking with Broncos over the Seachickens.

Sounds about right. Watching Manning, I'm screaming at the TV "EVERY TEAM IN THE LEAGUE NEEDS TO berkeleyING WORSHIP THIS OFFENSE!" I'd bet that Peyton changes the play at the line more often than not, and the defense, more often than not, does NOTHING!

Ball is snapped, everybody's on the same berkeleying page. Amazing.

One point of contention: Bearsss D is bleeding. Ask me how I know!

I was at the Denver/Philly game this weekend, and you get a different view in person. Manning DOES pretty much change the play at the line every time. He's all over the place, grabbing guys, giving them info. The performance of the special teams was pretty impressive, too - they racked up 14 points.

It was fun watching them deal with Vicks. He was running around and getting lots of time before halftime - heck, I think he was the leading rusher for the Eagles in the first half. Then Denver figured it out and started to pressure him hard. He fell apart. I was hoping they'd actually rip his dog-fighting head right off.

So true about Peyton reading defenses and him changing the play at the line. The guy is the best to ever play the position. I'm sorry, but it's true.

I had a discussion at work with someone that is just getting into watching football. He was asking about the Mannings. I told him exactly how I felt about the two. Peyton can step into an offense and turn the team around him into superstars. Part of it is what he is capable of on the field, another part is the leadership that oozes from him. It's truly amazing to watch what he can do.

Eli may have 2 superbowl wins, but the dude is hit or miss. I think he has to have talent around him, Peyton makes talent.

Another QB to make superstars around him is Brady, I can't deny that. But to watch Peyton pick apart defenses is something different.

I was trying to have the same discussion with a coworker as well. He couldn't wrap his head around the idea of how Peyton seems to elevate those around him.

It seems he's really on a mission to erase that ring-count disparity this year.

It'll be interesting to see what he does when he finally retires from playing. He seems like he'd be a natural at coaching. It'd be a waste if he goes into the broadcast booth.

Vick is one hell of an athlete. But during his stint here in Atlanta, people started to figure out how to contain him in our offense as the film piled up. Don't expect him to be as explosive as he was here, he is on the downward slide.

As far as the dogfighting... dude has done his time and then some. Time to move on from hating him for that. Guy got a second chance and I think he does regret what he did, not that he just got caught. He is not near the thug as some players out there in the league.
