I’m sitting in traffic next to a Nissan X trail, never seen one before. Ontario plates, so it must have been sold there. Why am I sitting in traffic? Apparently the fact that roads are slippery when wet his last on some people.

Yeah they weren't sold in the US. My dad has one just like that, they're pretty capable offroad for an AWD tall station wagon. Reliability hasn't been great though, half the interior bits are broken (without the help of children or pets!) and the transmission started giving trouble after about 5 years of ownership.
Edit: Here's an adventure thread where I take it offroading:

A Datsun by any other name is still a Datsun.
Lot's of them up here.
Research has shown what Americans want is a truck sized car. What most of the rest of the world wants is truck capabilities in the footprint of a car....

That seems shockingly accurate.
Many people with 4 door pickup trucks with a cover on their 5 foot box seem confused when I call it a Caprice.

The G35 is branded as a Nissan Skyline in Japan and some other markets. Although if it actually said "Skyline" under an Infiniti badge, it was a badge swap.
I saw one of those jdm skyline/ g35 sedan’s in grand cayman. Without the US’s many layers of import crap, they buy what they want from wherever. There is so many awesome JDM cars there. Probably most of the pictures i took were all jdm cars. Rented a renault megane while there.
Also ive seen a handful of xtrails in the states, they all have canadian plates. Looks like a cool ride. My wife has a rogue, mom bought one too. Fine get around car but all appliance, not many thrills to be had.

They made the xterra in the US up until 2015
In reply to MazdaFace :
It is. I had one for a few years. AWD with a 5 speed Manual trans. was nice. Gauges are in the center of the dash like a yaris or a saturn ion.
I ripped off both front door handles because the doors would freeze shut, but otherwise it was not horrible.
It's pretty quirky inside compared to the DULL exterior.
I regret not keeping it.

It doesnt look like the 2015 xterra (which is the bigger bodied 2nd gen) is much bigger then the 2006 xtrail (same gen as the OP pictured). the xterra is only 4" longer and 3.5" wider, but it is much taller with 9" more height. that height difference is probably what makes it seem so much bigger. I had a 1st gen xterra for a while and it wasnt exactly a spacious SUV.

Yeah that matches what I would guess about their size, having seen them both IRL. The xterra doesn't really look wider or longer but it's clearly much taller.
