That's definitely an interesting track, but I don't like the industrial look of the whole thing.
I'm still not sure how I feel about this track. I'll admit though, I like it a lot better now that it's completed and there's actual onboard videos. It's better than pictures of a construction site and Rick Perry telling the world how awesome it's going to be.

It's in F1 2012 for the 360 and PS3. It has two long straights. My dad and I will be driving it soon.
Seems like a very slow track except in a few places. I don't think i will be a fan of this one. Doesn't seem like it flows very well.
i drove right past that place- well, a few miles away, on I35- when i was going to San Antonio in June and totally spaced out on at least getting a pic of the front gate.. in my defense, i was a little pissed after getting lost in downtown Austin on the way down after taking a scenic detour to see some sights, and wasn't driving when we hit Austin 3 days later on the way back north..
To me, I compare new track and old track to new and old cars. Old tracks like Road Atlanta, Laguna, Monza, Brands Hatch, Nurburgring, ect. have this uniqueness and special characteristics to them like old Fiats, Porsches, Alfas, ect. People have been killed on them (the tracks) and in them (the cars). But they always had this special quirkiness to them. They are just so much fun.
New tracks: Bahrain, Circuit of the Americas, India, Korea, ect. remind me of new Honda Accords and Toyota Camrys. Boring lines, not much thrills. Just safe and boring. Safe, yes that is a good thing, but man are they boring. That is what makes racing fun. The danger in it. Getting behind the wheel of an old Alfa and bombing thru Brands, I'm sure it has a bigger excitement thrill and cool factor than a Camry at Circuit of the America.

So refreshing to see a F1 car with a steel steering wheel and an actual gear shift.
What I don't like is that both straights have 60º exits. They are going to be exiting corners, probably with a great deal of contact as drivers slide into one another on the inside 
The rest of the track looks pretty normal, which I guess is pretty boring.

The Nurburgring has to be the old Porsche - unforgiving and downright bloody dangerous when driven fast /ducks

Possible . . . But looking at Mario's and the Hulk's lap, it seems single line. The lap in the 458 makes it look painful for cars with lower down force. It appears to be another cookie cutter from Tilke. V8 Supercars at Bahrain look SLOW . . . here's to hoping I'm wrong.

Yes, this feels more like a test track than a race track.
Is it bad that I'm more excited about the V8 Supercars race in May than the USGP?
I will find a way there next year to watch those crazy aussies beat and bang on one another in good ole Murica.

Well, when you guys are all billionaires, I hope you build racetracks that move with the land, so the rest of us, having never driven them, can talk about what pieces of E36 M3 they are.

Every track is challenging. If it's not, you're not doin it right.
Since the track is bringing my beloved V8 Supercars over our corner of the world, I love it . . . but the layout (as seen in the videos) still look like a snoozer.
Sorta like NCCAR in Roanoke Rapids. A few parts of the track was AWESOME . . . but most of it was a snoozer. It's a track for testing . . . reminded me of a nice Tilke design . . .

Uh..you make a good point. I was going to crack a joke about Malibu Grand Prix being challenging but dull, but I have to admit it's fun when there's nowhere else to go. Maybe it's because I suck at the "technical bits" (and not just on Forza..I sucked at slow corners back when I raced for real, too).
