They are just reporting that Bin Laden has been killed, but nothing on the interweb except a few tweets so far.
I'm surprised he didn't keep it under wraps till closer to the election.

Me too.
My question, is it killed, or found already dead?

Claimed killed by a US mission in Pakistan, US claims to have the body and positive ID
K. I'm untrusting some times, this is one of them.
New Question! Why does this matter anymore? How long ago did we switch from "Huntin Evildoers" to Nation building?
Waiting of Obama to clear this up.
But seems like we have the body and it is confirmed.
I am just worried about revenge
It's about damned time!
As a person who joined the military due to 9/11, this is a very good thing. I wouldn't say joyous, but a weight has been lifted and a new sense of accomplishment and hope for the future has replaced it.
Confirmed by Obama. Apparently, it was a ground attack on a building they had been monitoring for months.
What first came to my mind is how a dead Escobar didn't end the "War on Drugs." Hussein's dead, and now bin Laden is dead. Does anything change, or have the movements gained enough momentum to just carry on under new leadership?
Doesn't really stop the war, just changes the game a bit. Though, Obama may have just won himself a second term.

Are they sure
After all, they all look.....
The President delivered his speech. A team was sent in, a firefight went down, and they dragged his corpse back. I expect tomorrow we will have photo and DNA proof as well as the names of the men and women on the Special Forces team who took him out. I expect Medals of Honor.
This is a momentous day akin to when we shot down Admiral Yamato, discovered Hitler's corpse, or captured Hussein.
This man masterminded and bankrolled the deaths of thousands of civilians and military members including the attack on the USS Cole, the Embassy Bombings, and of course 9/11.

Whether that is a bad things depends on what your TSA agent looks like: check it out

Men only, women don't do SF.

Those dudes didn't get the Medal of Honor. I suspect these guys won't either. With luck, it was a pretty-much by the book op that just happened to bag ol' Osama.
Hell, we may never at least hear the names of the people that caught him, so who know if we'll hear what awards and decs they get.
