Paging Donebrokeit or anyone who knows him IRL

I met him about 8 and 1/2 years ago. I picked up about 13" Hoosier bias plys from him and we chatted for about 20 minutes or so. He's a good dude. 

And we're family here. And I don't mean that in a fast and furious type joke, but we really sincerely are. It kind of came up in the Thanksgiving thread and I also feel to be the case in instances where we feel that somebody within the community has stepped out of line there's a level of accountability here that we have to and with each other that goes beyond many other places. And I don't mean that with regards to the internet I mean that as it pertains to the world at large. I feel that if you are held in positive regard within this community that you've been vouched for. It's why it hurts whenever we lose someone, in addition to knowing that they were likely close friends with somebody who is a member who lives geographically close to them. 

This stings an incredible amount. I laid in the hospital where he currently is 21 months unsure of whether I'd ever get out. I revisited a thread this afternoon that I started in January of 2020 that lasted a few weeks before it was locked, and we don't need to revisit it, but one of the things that I said in the final pages when it had long since deteriorated, was the the trajectory of this event was likely going to be 24 to 36 months, we're possibly about 2/3 of the way there. Even when I made that statement and I believed it and I understood the gravity of it I did not think that the effects of the event would be such a burden nearly 2 years in. I underestimated the resolve that would be needed. And it berkeleying sucks. Because people are human and they're not statistics. And there's pain and there is suffering for the patient's family and friends with each case. And it is exhausting.

I am very sorry to tell you that the real Donebrokeit is not doing well at all and is in very grave condition.  I saw him tonight. It is heartbreaking.  I will try to keep you updated. Again, I am sorry and I want you to know that this thread means a lot to me, it shows the true character of my brother who had such a positive impact on so many people, many of whom he has never met in real life.

It's hard to come up with words sometimes, other than I agree....  Hang in there Hanna.

Good Afternoon,  I am sorry to let you know that my brother had to be taken off of life support today.  There was no road to recovery. Thank you for your thoughts.

Please everyone, be safe and careful with your racing and the germs out there. A simple germ took out my brother.
