Tonight at work, listening to my Godsmack channel, the Metallica song Unforgiven comes on. I dig that tune, so I giver the old thumbs up. Well a short time later, the song Unforgiven II comes on. Another killer tune, so I thumb it up as well. Later on tonight, guess what comes on?
Yup, Unforgiven III. I think I see a trend developing.

The thumbs up allows Pandora to know you like that song, so it will play it for you again and will adjust the channel to play more music like it.
The thumbs down will never play that song again on that channel.
Sometimes it will screw up though and start playing really random stuff that in no way is related to the original channel if you thumbs up a random song you like.
My suggestion is to just make a new channel with that random song. It's easier to deal with.

In my experience, it takes your perfectly good Pandora station and screws it all to hell.
Pandora will play some bizzare crap sometimes. I just got done listening to Seether, now, as I type this BIlly Joel, The Longest Song or something comes on. HUH?
