A racing game fav of mine is TracMania Nations Forever
Arcade Racer through and through, the tracks are pretty wild (think like HotWheels track set), and require building Jedi like reflexes. The in game Track Editor is prety intuitive to let you try your own hand at building, and the online experince can be quite fun.
Biggest bonus for me, its free.

Medal Of Honor: Allied Assult + expansion games. Theres tons of people still playing this even though its like 88 years old. Its a fun 1st person shooter set in WW2 era. Single player isnt bad, but not great either. Multiperson is the way to go. My old HP with a pentium 4 and 128MBP video card pulled 40 or so frames per second on higher res settings, but set up with low settings, 100+ FPS was average. Just beware of the servers you play at. Good ones will run anti hacking software and keep the game fun. Crummy ones run mods that allow PPl to fly and stuff, and shoot thru walls. Gets old after a while. This is the only PC game I play regularly.
