That's really bad. Woof
Well, if you own an M1 you can brag to your buddies that it was the only BMW to ever have two roundels on the back. Yes, it bugs me a little too but I could overlook that minor fault if I could afford to buy one.
The propotions on an NSX (original version). There's just too much flat rear deck between the rear window and the wing/spoiler.
Floating roofline gets the approval of this insurance adjuster because it provides a painting gap. No more having to blend the stupid roof rail over the doors!

Practical!

For such a limited production car, sticking two badges on the back ws cheaper than making a single smaller badge.
My WAG is that they wanted people to know damn well what just shipped them, no matter which side they went past on, knowing that most people would never see enough M1s to recognize them on sight.
*ahem* ... what just whupped them. Stupid autocorrect.

I disagree on that one. That is the shape the body needs to be to conceal the innards. I like the flat deck. It looks purposeful, not overly stylized or garish. People sometimes complain about cars not being dramatic enough, but againt the overstyling we are currently seeing on everything with wheels, the early NSX is downright elegant.

My dad's C6 convertible is yellow, and I can't stand the color matched light buckets. This looks SOOOOOO much better. Wow.

I agree. I kind of like the overall design, but every time I see one in person it just looks like a rolling dumpster.
Whenever I see a Cybertruck rolling down the road, it short-circuits something in my brain. I immediately feel like I'm playing a computer game and an unrendered vehicle just glitched across my screen.
On topic...
I hate the taillights on the ND Miata.
They just look... wrong. Like a poorly drawn version of Batou's eyes...
There is no external hatch release on the current Supra.
This might have been a minor annoyance, but after you use the hatch release on the drivers door, the hatch tends to bounce a bit when you close the door, relatching the hatch.
Yes, there's a hatch release on the key fob as well, but I generally leave that in the car when I'm parking in my own garage.
My E86 Z4 coupe had a nice combination hatch release and lift handle activated by pressing in on the rear roundel/logo. The Supra has neither.

Speaking of external hatch/trunk releases, the ND has one, but it's a vertical button under the bumper near the license plate, about a foot or two off the ground. Try bending that low with hands full of grocery bags. You're better off kicking it lol.
I can't stand how much lower the rear fender is cut vs. the front on an E36 bmw.
same with GD Imprezas

I recognize that I am in the minority on this, but other than the wheels, I love the way those things look, especially in person.
I'm of course ignoring the price and quality issues completely. But I think they're awesome looking. If they were actually good vehicles, I'd drive one.

Sure, it's functional, but to my eye the proportions are just awkward. To me it makes what could have been a awesome-looking car into one that's flawed.
Contrast it with a 355 of the same vintage which has the same mechanical challenges (mid/rear transverse mount V engine), and Pininfarina did a much better job with it.

Now you made me have to go out to the garage and see this button i didn't know existed........

The 355 isn't transverse. So, even more of a packaging issue? Also, didn't Honda put a trunk behind the engine?
Not a design element but more of a "Caller IQ" issue:
Ran 2500/3500s with their tow mirrors flipped up. Every time I see one I say "Uh oh, it's angry!" And make a rattly noise in my throat like a raptor in Jurassic Park. I figure if those idiots get to annoy me I get to annoy those stuck riding with me.

I have a very definite sense of proportion, and to my eye the NSX has great lines. I don't think the extended rear is an issue. It kind of has a 911 longtail or 917 vibe to me.
Absolutely not saying your opinion is wrong; I just don't happen to share it.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the styling on the 911 longtail (or even the back end of the 959), either. Same with the McLaren F1 longtail.
917 is a bit different, because the bubble is so much lower and the rear bodywork so much higher it's basically just flat across the entire profile.
It annoys me that the Chevy Bolt has some generic looking (to me at least) geometrical pattern visible in the brake / tail lights when they light up, instead of a series of lightning bolts. Seems like a completely wasted visual opportunity to me.
Any of the current Lexus grilles.
The LC looks like such a fun car, and then they went and put a grille on the front end that puts a whale shark to shame.
