Oh thank god. I was constantly forced against my will to click threads of a political nature while browsing GRM.

Again, the problem is not political threads. Many threads start out completely benign and result in jingoistic mud-slinging. Some of the most innocuous topics have gone tango uniform because some people can't keep a lid on it for five berkeleying minutes. Civility goes right down the drain and makes for a hostile environment. Enough already. Can we either stay on topic or at least go back to the deft, artful, humorous threadjacking we all know and love?
That's what RX7Club does; they have a sub forum called DoO (Difference of Opinion) that's not accessible unless you ask to be admitted.
I couldn't love GRM the magazine or the website more, and believe me, I don't like to be the P.C police or anything or the guy who has a problem with everything thing, but I do have a problem with this... I find it a bit offensive that you use terms like "political", "discussion" etc etc... for your little descriptions or whatever in the land of cyberspace. I myself do not have political opinions, nor am I an internet stud like Dave Hardy, but I feel sensitivity for people with political needs as I am especially needy, and my Facebook friends posts are littered with comments on the topic.
These terms although I'm pretty sure are not even real words, are obviously meant to resemble the words used to describe people with webbed fingers and artificial testicles, and it appears that they are used on these boards in a joking sense which, as I view it, makes light of people who are politically challenged. It just doesn't seem right to me, that's all. I know that it's not my message board, and that no one forces me to post here, but all the same, some things are wrong when they really don't need to be.
Yeah that just happened! I am deployed (again) and we have been forced to not drink, so I am a bit snarky
keep your head down, Mental! and how dare you state something so blatantly political as "I am deployed (again)". the banhammer, she is mighty.

Don't feel bad. I am deployed to Curacao in the Caribbean. I just got Open Water Scuba Certification and will complete my Advanced Open Water this coming Friday.
Now come December I am back in the suck, so I am enjoying what I can now.
The "deployed" statement has nothing to do with politics, just my career; which with these back to back deployments, is quickly approaching a close.

Curacao has had a role in a lot of my "deployments," too.
Boy, it's sure great that we're not having any more political discussion in the off-topic area..
There's no :rolleyes to put here
Can we just sticky this video whenever someone wants to discuss religion or politics?

How dare you?
I woke up wondering if "Darth Vader" would remodel things and put Car Elevators in the "Death Star"?
Crap, I made the mistake of playing this with 151.....also, there was a debate? all I heard was Gangnam Style for some reason.....
No one on the planet would have survived that drinking game. The special rule about chugging until the host stops them when either candidate goes over their allowed time would have caused even the most die-hard drinker to fall into a coma they never came out of.
