just like what this guy just commented...
"it is not a stereotype being presented in this story....The story is about how popeyes ran out of chicken. It happens to be that it was only black people going there. Honestly, popeyes target market is blacks. i guess that could be considered racist, but it is true. They try to sell chicken to those who eat it most."

I went into a Popeye's in St. Louis once, and everyone in the place was black. I truly didn't even notice at first, but I did notice that a few workers in the back were laughing and joking around, but thought nothing of it. That is until the woman at the counter that was taking my order turned around and yelled "WILL Y'ALL SHUT UP! YOU ACT LIKE YOU'VE NEVER SEEN WHITE PEOPLE BEFORE!". I almost fell on the floor I was laughing so hard.
thats funny.....all those people "How am I going to feed my family?"
dunno....cook?
Around here Church's is about the same.
I love me some Church's. But i do get wierd looks going in there.
Good lord, couldn't they find atleast one white person upset about lack of chicken?
Because KFC is like eating deep fried tofu. There is no taste to that greasy crap!
We have Lee's near my work. The dessert is soaking the biscuit in honey after you're done with the spicy fried.
It's as if Popeye's target market place is anyplace dirty. They are the dirtiest restaurant I go in. I hardly ever go to Popeyes and when we are travelling we know we are in a "less than desirable part of the community" when we see a Popeyes.
We joked a month or so ago that our neighborhood was now a ghetto since Popeye's was moving in. We went there the first day due to the specials advertised and walked out. The floor was already full of crust and the walls already greasy.

I happen to like tofu, thankyou very much. Occasionally they even serve it to the employees at the Borgata

Yeah, hygiene is not high on the priority list at Popeye's. it is some tasty chicken, though.

Popeyes is the third best chicken I've ever had... And that is sayin something. I love me some Popeyes.
On the chicken note, if you are ever in central Illinois, Rip's Chicken in Ladd Illinois has the best chicken... In the world.
Seriously. Line out the door by 4:30.

I have noticed that also. Strangely, there is a Popeyes in Westlake, CA, which is definitely not a "hood". Mickey Rooney lives there, Charlie Sheen, Will Smith, Wayne Gretzky, probably a few other "stars" also.

you know Mickey Rooney is a blood don't you?
I work for a PH, and occasionally deliver to Popeye's, Church's (tho not so much), and never to KFC. I did once have to deliver wings to a Jack Pirtle's (another chicken chain), as they had run out of wings.....really wierd. Popeye's and Church's? yeah, I'm not so sure I'd want to eat anything there, it looks like they never clean.

At 90+ I'd think Mickey is more of a Crip...

aaah... ok
Things I didn't know about Popeyes:
They have franchises outside the US.
You can follow them on Twitter.
I worked for Popeye's for 2 weeks. I will never eat there again...

Everybody who's ever worked in any restaurant ever says that.

Not so.
OK, let me be more specific - every person I know personally who's ever worked in any chain restaurant ever says that.
Good enough?
We have a Popeyes in Whitestown/Zionsville. Far from "hood" and their chicken is tasty. I prefer it over KFC.

I'd love to see what they had to say on Twitter on the day in the clip!
Nothing. They promoted the special, but nothing about running out of chicken.
They do have about 4,000 followers on Twitter, though
