THIS is how to show up all the F750 quad-cab dually-diesels in my neighborhood that have never even hauled home a 2x4!!!

Yes, those are 2x12's. Yes, I did pick them up at Lowe's "will call" in front of about 6 giant trucks that were all getting like a single bag of dirt. Yes, that's a GRM sticker I was rocking out on the windshield of my autocross RX-7. Yes, it was raining. No, the 7 wasn't hurt at all. It did turn right a little better...

I should have taken a picture of the newish nissan altima I saw neer work. Rear suspension down to the bump stops or more. On closer inspection, the rear seats were down and had as much cement board and tile thin set as could be shoe horned in to it.

I once carried 25 cinder blocks in the trunk of my 95 Honda Accord. It rode kinda squishy.

No pic, but a while ago I saw a well-used Trabant pulling a trailer made from half another Trabant. That was cool, but the really impressive part was he actually managed to get that contraption up around 100 km/h on a 2-lane country road. This is not normal for a laden Trabi.

Oh yeah, and then there's this:

Spotted on the U.K. -> France ferry. I would bet a million Euros that these quality used cars were heading to Poland.

Why is it so many of these involve VWs?

Oh never mind I know these people.

First, my experiences:

A friend had a non-running '93 Saab 9000CSE. He needed it moved to a different spot in the driveway, but in order to do this, the brakes had to be broken free and it had to come up an incline. We couldn't push it. We had my '87 900S and an old garden hose. I know it was stupid, but it worked.

Next, we have my '94 Protegé DX. I loved this car, and I wish I hadn't sold it. I saw shiney newer things and thought they'd make me happier. Wrong. This car held an unbelievable amount of E36 M3, got 35+MPG and was a lot of fun to drive.

First, the the engine hoist and some of my tools:

Next, a friend of mine was moving from Indy to NC and needed to get some parts cars stripped and get rid of some parts to people who could use them. Another friend and I hopped in the Protegé and went to Indy. We pulled 4 engines and transmissions and some other various parts. In return we were given a lot of parts. A lot of parts. They had to go home with us that day.

Lastly is a pic from my local forum. One of our members sold his VWs and got into Mustangs. Cool enough. He's still playing with enthusiast cars, but that doesn't mean that we don't like to poke fun at times. Well... He stripped a four-eyed GT and someone wanted the shell. They came to pick it up in an S10. They didn't bring a trailer. They didn't bring an anything except the S10. For some reason, our guy decided to take a pic of it and post it on the site.

There're your GR hauling stories straight from KY.

i once hauled 45 boxed 18" hurricane globes home from a discount warehouse in my 95 corolla when my wife and I were buying decorations for our wedding - no pics, but seriously, every square inch of the interior and trunk were filled with these things, including one on my lap - I was never so afraid of airbag deployment as I was at that time. my wife had to take a taxi home...ridiculous - but we spent less than $65 for all 45 stinkin globes, including her taxi. I guess it was worth it

Another "wish I had a picture" one - I recently had my GS500F lose its chain. Instead of trying to whistle up a bike trailer, I thought I could probably get away with stuffing it in the back of the Suburban. Had to pretty much lay the bike on its side while pushing it up a ramp to make it go in the Suburban with the seats all folded down. It just fit in.
