And he wants $500 cash just for the privilege of looking at the car. LOL, $500 should BUY the car, not just a look.

"This is a Zimmer . It started life as a 1985 Mustang and they cut it apart and put this kit on and sold them for $80,000 in 1985.This kid needs to be put on a mustang from 85 to 93.These cars are very elegant when they’re nice .it has a lot of potential.this car has not ran in 20 years."
They should have done society a favour and left the cut-up Mustang in pieces and never progressed to this abomination. Uuurrgghh.

car runs and drives great has cold a/c, also two 12 inch subs and dvd player call any time.has some cracking at rear fender flares and a place on the hood .
I scan CL all the time, and this guy has been trying to sell this pile of junk for OVER 5 YEARS. Just reposts it every week FOR FIVE YEARS.
I emailed him a couple times, and told him how long before you release nobody wants your pile of junk!

There was another guy selling a Toyota Previa with a blown motor for $1200, he posted that ad FOR THREE YEARS.
I emailed after 3 years or so, asking have you really tried to sell the same car for 3 years, or are you reusing the photos?
He replied, yes it has been for sale for 3 years. It finally went to the crusher I assume since it was no longer posted eventually..

I’d daily that...
Here is a CL delusion close to me...
Twelve year old Audi with 110k miles that needs an engine, asking $4,500. Even more delusional is that the seller claims to have already dropped $10k into this vehicle that he bought with no key from a repo auction.
https://sandusky.craigslist.org/cto/d/bellevue-2007-audi-s8/6873377971.html
Sure, its an Audi S8 but on the other hand, it is an Audi S8.
He mentions he runs a business but the pics dont revel enough about to help me decide what business to avoid doing business with.
Seems to be an e30 in the background
My local craigslist people are starting to use other categories to sell vehicles, that $5 postinf fee is too high:

This ad is full of contradictions:

91 Bronco project vehicle. NOT running the last time I started it up, was about 10 months ago. Battery is dead, dead, dead. Body had some rust, not much, and one big dent on the drivers door. Motor is a 5.8 Litre V8 that was completely rebuilt, and converted to carbuerated, no electronic ignition. About $10 K spent on motor. Interior is in fair shape, front seats recovered. Dash is intact. It is a project car. Probably about 300 miles on rebuilt motor.
So, you started it but it wasn't running? The engine was rebuilt, converted to carb and points? And it cost about $10k? And of course you don't actually have a picture of the big dent on the driver's door, the rust or the $10k rebuilt 5.8L.
Ewww. Sad thing is with just a little more of the upper donor car's front end, that could have been great. The other end actually worked pretty well.
OK, so it is pretty well kept. This appears to be a current picture, but could have been used as marketing material in 1986.
Interior is just as nice.
But still, $28,900 is really steep, even if it might have a legitimate claim on being the best 1986 Cadillac in existance.
In reply to MadScientistMatt :
Possible best Cadillac in existence from the entire decade. It looks incredible.
Not sure who's more delusional, the person who built this, or the people who gave it a trophy. It does seem well-built, but that front end is just horrible.
I like that shift knob, though.

That truck wouldn't be too bad if he could have found the right headlights for it, or vacu-formed some headlight covers for it. But the square headlights really break it.
Here's another one I found.
Clean '83 Supras are not easy to find, true. But I think $16,000 is a bit much...

Man Gas Monkey have really fallen off since Aaron left.
I vote this one delusional because he presumably thinks a $1,700 car can become a $25,995 car for less than the difference in price.
maybe delusional. maybe not. E36 M3ty pictures for $24k however.
both included at $24k. yup.
35mm film. Old, lens cover scratched to heck, described as "sort of works", $100. If you get $1 for it at a yard sale I'd be amazed.
This thread needs some more love...
I present to you the *VERY RARE* 1994 Toyota Camry LE:

Ah yes, the very rare 1994 Camry. Only 319,178 sold that year. Nice price too considering it needs "minor cosmetic body work and some wires, hoses and timing belt replaced." You know, just minor stuff. Probably takes 5 minutes and costs $5 at the auto parts store.
