I found this in my alley today.  At least it's not the green variety.

They still make that stuff?

It's a real product, if you've never heard of it.  It's a generic food-substitute nutrition powder (like real life Bachelor Chow) that is popular with the kind of people who will do some math and then buy 500 of the cheapest undershirts from Alibaba because it's cheaper to wear them once and throw out than it is to do laundry.  Which amuses me because Soylent is more expensive than eating actual food.

It comes up in the headlines every so often on my favorite news aggregator because they'll have batches contaminated with some bacteria or something, and the company will downplay it if they don't outright deny it.

Working on the racecar for next season.......pic shows why. Last turn of the last lap of the last race of the 2024 season, someone else dropped some oil and he spun in it and tagged the wall. Not too bad, but enough to make it worth while to pull the front end off and do a major rebuild, radiator, fenders, core support etc. then when starting the motor up for the first time, we decided to run compression first, just to get some baseline info -- oops, #4 has 60lbs compression........that might be it for 2025 season, motors are expensive when you're on a shoestring budget. Needs a block as it's already bored as far as it can go and #4 showed some real wear at the top......

Check the date on the top of the trophy vs. the date on the bottom of the trophy.

The POV of an E type driver. Your view is constantly obscured by the windshield frame. You either stoop to see under it or crane your neck to see over.

How was this ever acceptable?

When I drove a Cobra (a Factory Five version), I could barely see through the reflection of the painted part of the body on the cabin side of the windshield.

For a sunny day car, it sure is difficult to drive when the sun was out.

(Not the example I sampled, but same colors)

Here's a better example, although the light main color isn't as bad to see through as the blue was.

It's like anti-flocking.

To quote Penny from big bang theory, "But she's pretty, and that's all that matters."//sarcasm.

Here are a couple of Annie's pics from our 5th floor ocean-front room at The Beachcomber in Pompano Beach:

She set her iPhone to time lapse and this was the result. (It was dark out). They look almost like paintings.

Here's another she took looking north, and it's pitch dark out:

On the right is 90YO Tom Choate. We took your basic 4.5 mile hike with 1200 feet of vertical gain the other day.
