So my trusty FWD Craftsman lawnmower decided to chuck one of its “tires” today. The other side is wore down pretty good. Is there a good place to get replacement wheels?

I have a stack of em down in aisle 2 right now, next to the spark plugs.

I think I got my last set of craftsman self propelled mower wheels off of Amazon when the plastic gear teeth stripped out of them for around $25.

Surprised the teeth lasted longer than the tires.

Any hardware store anywhere should have lawnmower wheels.

Sears used to be good at having replacement parts.  Id start here: https://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getParentCategory.pd?categoryName=Lawn-Mower-Parts.  I recently ordered parts to repair my brother’s old well pump and they got me everything in a few days.

They sell them at HD. Our house is on a steep hill, so I was breaking the plastic ones once a year. Finally stepped up to “steelies” and never had a problem afterward.

I have a 15 year old CM mower and the front drive wheels will wear out due to the axle shaft bearings wearing out which allows the steel drive gears to machine the plastic teeth on the inside of the front wheels.  Replacing the shaft bearings with sealed rather then shielded bearings will extend the life of the wheels.
