My girlfriend really wants my Fit. I really hate her Aveo. She also hates her Aveo. I want something with more power and sportier than the Fit, yet I still want the Fit around for when I need to haul E36 M3 aorund, etc. Girlfriend still owes exactly what the Aveo is worth in street value. Thinking of selling her Aveo, paying it off, signing over the Fit to her so she can take over payments. She has perfect credit as well. We just got a 06 Cobalt SS Supercharged traded in at work with 60k, Certified GM used car, silver w/ black leather, my price is $10k....am I crazy? I have no plans of getting rid of said girlfriend. She talks of this "M" word all the time, I don't know what it is, but I hear that it means she won't leave me.
What do you think?
Do it.
You will be a happy mang, mang
RUN. Fast and far. She bought the Aveo, now wants yours. This is a clue....she will NEVER be satisfied. She gets bored quickly. How long until she gets bored of you? A single man is a happy man!
It's part of the "fixing him" plan: Make the guy get rid of "his" toys in favor of "our" stuff. It gives more leverage, and makes the split more interesting.
For what it's worth, I wouldn't buy anything on credit with someone I'm not married to. Not a house, not a car.
There is no word - starting with M or any other letter - that will keep someone from leaving. Not Miata, not money, not that other word ...
BTW, our 22nd anniversary is on Monday.

I'm starting to run into this pretty badly. "Why don't you just leave your car alone and just drive it to and from work and not waste money on it?"
It's NOT a waste. It's one of the few things that i enjoy doing, so dammit, i'll do it. It's my money, i'll do what i want with it. Doesn't seem to realize that it would take a lot of money to make the car back to comfy daily driver spec.
Finally had to lay down the law: You buy shoes and clothes. I buy car parts. OH... and i bought YOU a car.
Make her buy the Colbalt trading in the Aveo. Then you just switch driving them.
If you break up, the cobalt won't have the trade in value the fit will have....so you take the fit and go on your merry way.
All you care about is driving it....no need to own it.

Is that car advice or marriage advice?
Sell her the Fit. If she wants your help selling her Aveo, help her sell it. Buy what you want with your money. Let her do the same.

funny story but Beutifull car
I got a car chick.
It's way worse doing it my way. She helps feed my addiction. I gave her a 1948 Chevy for her B-day.
That being said, if it flies, berkeleys or floats. RENT IT!

I like that they replaced the "rioters" on that Riviera.
ANyone else notice that no one on Craigslist can spell "rotor"?
Rotters, roters, rotars....saw one ad that spelled "rotor" correctly, but then said that the "breaks" still weren't quite right.

You can get the sales tax break by trading the Aveo in on the Cobalt..

Quoted for truth. She gets the Cobalt, you keep the Fit. Then just swap keys whenever you like, even if that's everyday.
