I found this 18hp Monkey Wards rider on the side of the road with a "FREE" sign on it. Guy says mice like, wife hates it!

At the time the soaring club I belong to needed another glider tow vehicle so I grabbed it, fixed it, painted, ditched the 42 inch deck.

Now the Club has a need for a mower.......

Is it easier - cheaper to find a deck for this one or just buy another machine?

This one has a nice 18hp boxer engine, 7 speed hydrostatic, PTO and it looks GRM.

What would the Peanut Gallery do?

there are several lawn tractor/ equipment salvage yards in my area, these guys are the pack rats of lawn equipment... they save everything... maybe you gots one local

It will be nearly impossible to find a deck for it without buying a complete parts tractor. I'm guessing you're mowing a grass runway? If so, I'd look for a towable gang mower like they use on golf courses.

Do this. Boost to 15psi. Make one 60ft pass, with a stopwatch and LOTS of safety gear. Post video on youtube. Become famous before they release you from the hospital.

It's easier and cheaper to find another used mower with a deck than to find a deck alone.

Next door neighbour showed up with a 2 or 3 year old John Deere LA100 last night that he bought for $650... It has 43 hours usage... I offered him $1000 on the spot (he didn't accept). The deals are out there - just have to find them
