Even if the cop used his hands instead of a gun the same parade of clowns would have shown up. We are expecting problems this week if the cops in the Eric Garner case aren't indicted. A 350 pound fat mess decides to wrestle with a group of cops and has a heart attack while resisting arrest. As a fat mess myself I am fairly sure the heart attack was going to come before he managed to escape wether they used a chokehold or not.

Yep. "Native americans". The people who identify with that term make up 75% of our prison population, but make up only ~1.3 million out of 35 millions Canadians. Look up residential schools in Canada.
It wasnt pretty, but we deal with the exact same problems with them as it appears the USA does with parts of the african-american peoples.

News coverage up here has been more to the side of the victim never heard a word saying he had just robbed a store just that he was walking down the center of the road and was accosted by the cop. Wasn't trying to troll the thread just putting in my 2 cents.
Would love to be able to protect my property I have guns and know how to use them and am not saying that in a life threatning situation I wouldent but we have the knowledge that if we do we will be charged, the RCMP.

I for one wouldn't use "African-American" even in the US, I know it's acceptable to all parties there but it's just such a strange term that seems intended to remind that black people are foreign. They don't call white people "European-Americans." I hope that also helps explain why it can be seen as offensive outside the US.

Here in the US, the US Supreme Court ruled that police have no requirement to provide personal safety for civilians. They are merely there to enforce the law which means writing the report after it's over and notifying your next of kin.
