Is British a race?

No, they'd probably be sleeping.

Just speculation but I think especially given that protests were planned all over the country announcing the verdict late ensured that most people had made it home from work before anything happened. Last night here bridges in and out of New York were shut down by protesters. Had that happened during the day it would have been a traffic nightmare which snowballs into delayed responses for EMS emergencies, people with child care issues, ect. When planning something like this you want to minimize the impact it has on the rest of the population.
I don't understand "closed the roadways". I drive a suburban, I'll slow down for people in the street but beyond that..... I'm bigger.
Wally, you drive an even bigger street sweeper.
I am going to start posting this in all race-related threads, just because the fact that this is overlooked almost proves that "race-baiting" (ironic, considering what I am about to post) is taking place in a widespread manner.

There is only one human race. Race is a specific scientific term. Just because people differ in skin color, hair color, eye color, does not make them different races. We all all the same race. We only differ in ethnicity.
So why last night were there reports of automatic arms fire and gun fire all over the place and today there are no deaths or injuries reported.

Except Gingers. We have no soul, so societies rules do not apply to us.

Wait.... You are a ginger?
That explains it.
Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Used to hear that quite a bit working 3rd shift on North Broadway. A lot of times those doing the shooting are more concerned with image and intimidation than generating a high body count. Or they just suck at shooting.

My point was more that it was media hype than anything.

Looks like the prosecutor wants the world to make it's own mind up rather than listening to the racebaiters.

Yes, that was actually a smart move on their part. Most of the businesses were closed, not as much traffic, and many fewer "innocents" around the area.

After the guy got pulled from his truck and beaten during the Rodney King "Protest" my grandfather explained the importance of letting out the clutch and creeping through a mob. They can choose to move or not. You want to be the one that gets to hire the lawyer, not the one drooling on himself.

No, not really. Listening to the scanner for there last night, there were shots fired, and reports of injuries/send ems & leo's. Evidently they started sending swat teams to investigate those reports due to normal officers getting ambushed by those reporting. About 15-20 times last night, swat showed up to find someone with a scratch or cut....who promptly refused treatment.
I was a bit upset to hear that the officer didn't wear a Tazer that night because he felt it was uncomfortable. That tells me that we need to have a discussion with our police forces that Tazers/Body cams should be required and not having them can be a criminal offense with grounds for suspension.
It would be an expensive endeavor but would probably save a lot of lives and personal property in cases like these.

I used to have to tour apartment buildings in low income neighborhoods for my job. We always made sure we were there between 8 am and 11 am. Earlier and the denizens were still rollin' in from a late night. Later and they would be rising out of bed.
