I woke up this morning to find my cat Jenifer had died last night. At least I still have her sister.

Sorry to hear that. We're cat-people too & it's always rough.
If you or anyone else is interested, we've got 5 kittens almost weened that need good homes.
Sorry to hear about that. In the last 3 years we have lost a dog and a cat, both had been in the family for a long time.
Thank you. She was 9. She has only been in so-so health for the past few years. Odd thing is her sister can still pass as a large kitten.

darn, you're just too far away... my Dad just passed away (3 wks ago) he hadn't wanted any pets for the last 15 yrs or so.... Mom now can get ( as can I) a pet... for sure a dog, but possibly a kitty also.. we'll go the local animal rescue and take our pick..
Our sympathies for you and your family, wbjones, and you too, neon4891. Both suck. Nobody gets out of here alive, not even the doggies or kitties. I won't go into the death we've had in our houshold in the past 2-3 years. It's been bad around here.
Anyway, neon, find you a new kitty. That's the best way to go on. wb, there ain't no good way there, just go on.
Sorry for your loss. With all the modern technology we have now, why can't they make our pets last longer?
sorry for the loss of your family member.
We have a 15yr old kitty we ware watching daily and hoping for the best
Sorry to hear it, but I'm glad you have her sister, and if her health was declining, it's probably better, though of course that doesn't help.
I have an 18-year-old cat and I'm expecting a similar morning someday.
So sorry to hear of your loss.
We had an "ancient", as the vet called her, cat adopt us last year. She was not in good shape when we found her camped out in my old race car shell. She walked really wonky with a VERY stiff back so we called her Cami (short for camshaft) and only weighted 5 lbs. We got her on meds (hyperthyroid) and brought her into the pack. The other two fuzzies dealt with her and she did well for a number of months. We had to put her down last month when she went downhill fast. She got a lot of loving over the past 8 months. They know we love them.
