RIP Tony Dow.

Tony Dow, who played Wally on Leave to Beaver, has passed from cancer.  He is reported as being a super nice guy and a heck of a carpenter.

hope "our" Wally is ok. 

I changed the title to represent the person and not the character who happens to share a name around here.  

Apparently he's still hanging on, but not for long.

OK, I saw the original title and now you guys are freaking me out....

Cue a bunch of younger readers saying "Tony who?" Though, I must admit, I might have forgotten his name if the announcer didn't say the actors' names out loud during the intro.

I'm guessing the original title said Wally. Completely different person here on the forum.

He was one of the characters on that Nickelodeon show "The New Leave it to Beaver", no?

(they had a show that ran for several seasons with all of the original actors.  I liked it)

Turns out news of his demise is a bit premature, TMZ say he's still drawing a breath (!) but that he's in hospice care.

When someone posts "RIP Beaver" as the subject, more of us will be worried. Don't get me wrong, we all like Wally, but we all love.....
