My 16th anniversary was Friday and StilettoSS loves helicopters, as do I. So I got us a first lesson on how to fly a helicopter. It would take about $14000 each to get our licenses so it was really just a tease. It was berkeleying amazing. We each got about 5 minutes on the controls under the watchful eye of Tony from CRhelicoptors.com along with a 1/2 ride. Did I mention it was berkeleying amazing yet?

BEST $375 I have spent. The best part might be that this is the first anniversary that I have been home for in maybe 6 years.
Oh, and Tony mentioned that we might want to get Digital Combat Simulator to continue on with the basics. I am already trying to piece together a seat set up for Assetto Corse and now I will need another for flight controls haha.
Obligitory "get to tha choppah!"
It was one of the coolest things I've ever done. Especially since it was a thing I thought I would never get a chance to do! He's a keeper! (preach, not the helicopter). It was surprisingly peaceful and relaxing, but I think the instructor was responsible for most of my comfort level. I would do it again in a second, but it's a pretty expensive hobby to add to the rest of our expensive hobbies...
