And, oddly enough, this will be my first time seeing them live. Not sure why it has taken so long.

Rush is how Canada pre-apologized for Celine Dion. I still like 'em even without pot.

My instant channel change or kill the damn radio power alleged 'band': the Beastie Boys. Damn, they SUCK.

Can't stand the B boys. Not because the pulled an Elvis and ripped off the black sound, but because they did it so poorly. Any chili peppers after one hot minute sounds like a bad parody.

That was "Beyond The Lighted Stage".

I saw it on VH1 Classic awhile back. I'm not a big fan per se, but that was a fantastic documentary.

I'm a sucker for almost any band documentary, though. "Lemmy" was epic.

I was a huge fan...till 2112 came out. Then I was an occasional listener until recently, and I'm thinking of getting tickets when they are here. I admire their talent as musicians, and they can make more noise than any other three guys in the world, but honest to God, if Geddy would just loosen his jock a bit...

The later songs aren't as high an octave as the earlier stuff.

Early REM albums are among my favorites. I listen to Reckoning and Fables all the time. The mumbled lyrics are a bit irritating, but now thanks to the internet you can read along and see what Stipe was mumbling on about back in the 80's.

Beastie Boys - They have some undeniably catchy songs, but put me in the camp that overall finds them irritating overall. I blame them for Emenem or however that dude spells his made up name. I don't enjoy rap, and it is made worse when it sounds like a whiny guy from brooklyn.

Rush: Not a huge fan. Everyone's gotta like Red Barchetta though right? I did watch that documentary about them and it was interesting. As far as I know Rush is the rock and roll band to have highest proportion of male fans...ever.

Can't stand the RHCP either. Self important twerps. I could forgive them if they were good musically, but they can't even do that.
