I am moving out to Colorado for a few months, and taking what will fit in the back of my truck. I would like to make a trip to visit family along the way, by plane. I would drive to Denver, take a plane to NM, visit for a few days, fly back to Denver, then drive the rest of the way to my destination. I don't want to leave my truck with my belongings in the airport parking lot, especially since my truck topper doesn't lock. I'd like some sort of security for my stuff. Would getting the topper to lock be enough to park in airport lot? Or parking in a residential area? My stuff wouldn't be particularly valuable, some clothes, books, some tools and fishing stuff, but would be a major inconvenience to lose them.
What options do I have for short term (<5 days) storage?

Find a GRMer in the area that has an extra garage spot or driveway in safe neighborhood? Rent a storage unit for a month? I rented one for 2 weeks and it was pretty affordable in central Illinois; but it was a locally owned place and not a Metro or Public Storage.
You'll be fine in the airport for a few days I would think. Locking topper a plus but not necessary. Parking in the airport garage is really safe because they have cameras all over that crap. You know, for terrorist prevention and other important purposes.

especially considering the 'Denver' airport is not really in 'Denver' at all. Its in BFE.
