Driver gets pulled over. Runs. Hits barricade/gate at Capitol. Shots fired. Driver is killed. Child in car uninjured.
Basically, it sounds as though this wasn't terrorism, this was an accidental shooting of a mother.

Again.... I know you want a reason to hate on me and all.... last I heard there were no victims. No children. An officer was injured but not shot.

I would say that a shooting at our Capitol, with or without victims, is something that we shouldn't be joking about.

It's kinda starting to look like the only people shooting at our Capitol were the PoPo. And the car was a Nissan, err, Datsun, I mean Infinity. Yup, bet it had an automatic transmission. No sporting purpose at all for that car. Ban it!!
They managed to shoot and kill a confused, panicked unarmed woman driving in her own car with her child.

Horrible situation and obviously this was a crazy person and all of that blah blah blah, but part of me thinks that maybe if this were to happen a bit more often.... maybe if politicians were to start fearing the people, maybe this country might be better off.
Latest reports was that a woman tried to ram the gate at the white house. In the following chase she was shot a killed. there was a child in the car. No injury to the child reported.
TERRIBLE car to use as a battering ram. Don't you know you're supposed to use a 1 ton diesel at MINIMUM? And 4wd. VERY important.

Something makes very little sense here. What moron would ram the gates with a car? Why would they open fire on an unarmed woman? I'd love to just blame the po-po and call her an idiot for ramming a barrier that was essentially designed to be rammed, but there HAS to be more... doesn't there?
Some reports have suggested the woman had mental health issues.
As for over-reaction by the police and Secret Service, they have to defend a target-rich environment that is an alternate Mecca for extremists. They assume the worst until proven otherwise and she made matters as worse as they could become.
It is a tragedy with the only redeeming hope that some underpants in the Capitol building had to be changed. Those people need to sit in their own crap for a while instead of making us do it.
