Some people dump C16 in their lawnmowers for the smell.

New tires. I've loved them since I was a little kid. And there is a chemical used in the brick making process that smells amazing. Not sure what it is. Probably shouldn't breathe it but dang it smells fresh.

My old TR3 had a distinctive smell that I loved.  

I once stuck my head inside a J3 Cub and loved the smell.  Had to be 80 octane avgas and fabric dope.

This is a rare and obscure treat for me, but I really look forward to the aroma that will suddenly fill the room when you crack the bolts on main bearing caps.

When we first moved into this house and I took a shower in the well water it was the strangest thing. Smelled just like grinding. There's a lot of iron in the water. Really a lot.

I have some of that Castrol oil.

Now I'm going to have to go home and smell my kroil.  I don't recall it smelling good.

Mojo...sorry but PB Blaster does NOT smell good...says the guy who likes the faint smell of  skunk.

It seems that all old engines have that same smell when you get them apart! Years of deposits? I don’t really know.

Race fuel and castor oil is a darn fine scent. So much so that Klotz makes a candle that smells like it!

There's no way I'm going to trust the smeller on a guy who likes the smell of skunk.  PB blaster smells amazing, especially first thing in the morning.

I like the smell of PB blaster when you've worked on something the night before and you open up the garage the next day. Depending on how things went it either smells like success or failure.

Horse stables, tire stores and old book shops.

My grandpa owned a tire store and every time I get new tires the smell reminds me of grandpa's store. 

We had horses when I was a kid so that smell brings back pleasant memories as well.
