Longest I owned a vehicle was from '06 to '14. Sadly, I sold it as I moved overseas.

Shortly after I bought it:

The longest I have owned a vehicle is around two years. My second E21 and my Impala SS. Most are gone before a year. Although come April the Bike will turn two and it's the first brand new vehicle I bought, I have no immediate plans to get rid of it...but you never know.

96 Impala SS, bought new in April 96.

66 Pontiac Bonneville. Bought it Dec 26th, 1996.

And of course, the 67 Lemans I got from Duke. I'll likely be buried in that car.

Purchased... gosh, 2007? I've had it for eight years. Next-longest car ownership I've had was the previous RX-7 at seven years. Although I have the seat from that car in this one, so by my figuring, the driver's seat in the car has suffered my bony butt for 200,000 miles.

The longest female-type relationship I've had was, er, four years...

I've owned 300+ cars in my life. The longest I've ever kept a car was 4 years, and that was fairly recently.

I'm 40 and unmarried.

I'm sure that's just a coincidence.

I've had my TR250 since 1980. I tend to keep stuff I like. Our '89 Chevy Pick up we bought new. We also still have our '99 Suburban that we also bought new. The shortest time I kept a car was a '70 145 - with automatic - 9 months.

Bought the Focus new in 2001. At 14 years it is the longest I have kept a vehicle. I did retire it from DD status in 2010 (9 years) which is as long as I usually keep a vehicle.

As for other relationships: The wife has been around for 47 years now.

Longest owned vehicle was my Turner F Production racecar- 30 years. But I have a pre-war Buffet tenor sax and a Leblanc Symphonie model clarinet that I have had for 52 years!

1999 - met my wife

2001 - bought the 911 and got engaged

2002 - got married

Still in a relationship with both...and the yellow one will go before my wife. Luckily, that has never been an issue.

My 1986 Monte Carlo SS. I got it in the summer of 92 before my senior year of high school. It was beaten on for about 10 years, then painted and parked in my parents driveway. Now it sits in my garage as I harbor the delusion that I will one day have the time and money to put it back together.

Wow...I feel kinda whorish compared to some of you. I just sold the Cooper S today....so I've had my DD now for only a few weeks. My longest is a tie at 10 years with my Fiat 600D and '74 X1/9.

I'm 10 years deep in this one. It's been the most dependable car I've owned as well.

Yeah...coincidence.... must be....I mean, what woman would see a fear of long term comitment in that pattern?

This was my first car, and I owned it the longest, too, at 3 years. I'm not even old enough to own a vehicle as long as some of you.

It was also my most reliable car. I sent it to the junkyard in '08. My daughter is 7 years old.

I bought my MGTD in 1962 so it's now 53 years I bought my home in 1984 so it's now 31 years and my daily driver while not that old (only 17 years) has close to 350,000 miles on it.. Now if I could figure out how to get pictures from this phone to the page you could even see what I'm talking about..

Gee, some of you have owned a car for longer than I've been alive. I've one of those who hasn't owned any car longer than 2 years. Maybe that's a sign I should stop buying piece of junk beaters that I get tired of quickly

Lesley- AWESOME!

Duke- You're talking about OJ Dingo (as in Dingo Boots). The joke was he was so fast, he had three legs. Not so funny now.
