You can see that the ability to hang the bike with straps from the front wheel would give me the ability to not only have them easily accessed, but they can lay on their sides in order to reduce the amount they protrude into the garage.
If the semi-hanging cantilever shelves go as planned, I might be able to get the majority of my large storage bins on those shelves, leaving my "cubby" open for another design.
So rather than packing the "cubby" full of shelves, I might be able to go a different route.
I like the idea of utilizing the wasted vertical space and building another hanging shelf in there, with a work area and fold down work bench.
